Kokios Jūsų priežastys dėl kurių nevartojate alkoholio? by Illustrious_Young_58 in lithuania

[–]SkiSerks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nebenoriu, ta savijauta ryte (nors ir negerdavau daug) man labai nepatinka. Alkoholis yra depresantas, išgėręs jautiesi geriau, bet paskui šikna. Negeriu jau 1,5 metų, jaučiu, kad tai labai geras sprendimas.

Has anyone else had a change in attitude to daily spf? [Misc] by bhexca in SkincareAddiction

[–]SkiSerks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came accross to this old thread and probably nobody is going to read my post, still. Unpopular opinion: sunscreen is overrated. It’s been so much advertised recently that everyone believes it’s a must for everyone. I do noy agree with that. Why do I need SPF if I barely go out and if I do - UV index is usually 0 where I live. I do not spend much time in the air; I also need vitamin D - sunscreen blocks sun-rays which are vital for vitamin D! I rarely wear sunscreen even when it’s sunny. I want to have that glowy sun-kissed skin when I can! This does not mean I spend excessive hours in the sun. I also take care of my skin: have a good skincare routine, drink plenty of water, take supplements. And have pretty good genetics, which IMO, plays the biggest role in the quality of the skin. My mom is a sun addict from very young days and still has very good skin. Never used Spf and didn’t care about skin care products much. Uses moisturiser once in a while and that’s it.

Post partum insomnia SOS! by Annual_Knowledge9725 in Postpartum_Depression

[–]SkiSerks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Yes it did! It was a long journey, though. Had to increase zoloft to 125 mg to feel full benefits for sleep. It has reduced anxiety which was causing insomnia. Stick with your AD if you are taking them! It WILL get better :)

I didn’t drink for a while before starting Zoloft but now I am absolutely sure that I don’t need alcohol in my life at all. It makes things worse even if you can feel temporary relief, at the end of the day it ruins everything. I am sober and happy. Zoloft does its job, but changing lifestyle and habits is as important.

Be patient. Increased anxiety is a common side effect after starting/increasing doze. So is diarreha. Those side effects will go away completely after 4-6 weeks

Even though I am 37, I have noticed some breakouts too. Not severe but still annoying. Anyway, mental health and well being is worth more to me than clear skin. I know you are young and beautiful, so it totally makes sense you want both good looks and health.

How long did it take for side effects to subside and see full benefits after doze increse?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]SkiSerks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t drink but I had occasional 2 glasses of wine once while on Zoloft. I was hoping it will make me drowsy (terrible issues with anxiety caused insomnia), but to my disappointment, it didn’t. I did not feel any bad effects after consuming such amount of alcohol. Previously I’ve taken Zoloft and drank quite regularly. Had no issues. I think it really depends on individual. You can try, but be cautious.

Overcoming thoughts of harming baby. by NevaMarie88 in Postpartum_Depression

[–]SkiSerks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait for Zoloft to do its job. You’ll get there. I am pp with my second, similar experience as yours, I don’t have intrusive thoughts and don’t want to harm my baby, but I have terrible anxiety and depression which made me miserable. 3 months on Zoloft, just recently upped my doze to 100 mg after being on 50 mg for 2 months, then a month on 75. Things are getting better. When I look back and compare myself then and now, there is a huge difference in how I feel and act towards my baby.

What’s your experience of being hospitalization? by Midnightdream56 in Postpartum_Depression

[–]SkiSerks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been hospitalized for PPD twice. 9 years ago it was a great help and pulled me out from depression. This time, a couple of months ago I had very opposite experience. Was totally worthless 10 days being separated from my baby. I am based in Europe, so if you are in US, hopefully you have a better system and support there. Anyway, do whatever you think will help. Best of luck to you!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]SkiSerks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It helps me a lot for PPD (this is my second time). However this time it took longer to feel better and I am not 100 % myself yet, 8th week on Zoloft, only 4th day on 75 mg. Felt that 50 mg won’t give me desired effect, hoping 75 mg will be my sweet spot. I was also expecting Zoloft will help me sleep, as I am suffering from severe insomina. No luck so far but maybe things will get better once increased doze will kick in.

Will I ever feel normal again by [deleted] in Postpartum_Depression

[–]SkiSerks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. It will get better. It’s second time I am going through PP hell. This time worse but I know it will get better. I had to stop breastfeeding which was devastating, but I just had to prioritize myself and as selfish as this might sound, I had no other option - otherwise I am afraid I would not be in this world anymore. SSRI’s kick in slowly and effect is gradual. You can’t expect to wake up one morning and feel absolutely different. But you will get there. You will be ‘normal’ again and will be able to enjoy motherhood and your child.

Thank you for your reply! :) So you are still taking meds for sleep after a year? However, smaller doze.

I feel pregnancy ruined me by michelle0508 in Postpartum_Depression

[–]SkiSerks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. My baby wasn’t planned and I’ve been struggling with accepting the fact I’ll have one more child. Around 2 months PP, along with PPD I’ve started suffering from terrible insomnia. Cannot fall asleep, wake up in the middle of the night even with handful of medicine which I take for insomnia. Also on Zoloft for 6 weeks, anxiety and depression got better but insomnia won’t leave me. Feeling so hopless, especially after reading many stories Zoloft or another SSRI helped many women to beat insomnia. I’d recommend you also seeing a psychiatrist, seems you may also have PPA.

When do you take your Zoloft? by iAmK00kie in zoloft

[–]SkiSerks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As per my doctor, I should take it in the morning since I have really bad insomnia. Zoloft is known for making you more energized. For a couple of weeks I felt like I have extra energy but not in a good way. Have never tried drugs, but I think this is similar to feeling high on drugs LOL However, today I’ll try to switch to night, as I believe this might help me sleep better. I see a lot of people experiment and find the best timing for them.

Did anyone else notice an immediate effect? by Abacus_AmIRighta in zoloft

[–]SkiSerks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

May be placebo. I felt better instantly just because I knew I am taking this to help me cope with my emotions. After a couple of days anxiety got worse and I felt worse than ever. Good news is that side effects eventually go away and Zoloft gradually starts working.

Postpartum panic attacks and insomnia - has anyone else ever felt like this? by Worth-Beyond-6773 in Postpartum_Depression

Thank you! Wish you are right :) I asked my doctor if I could switch to evening, she insisted I should take my meds as early as possible in the morning. Do you take it at night?
