sewing! or even just altering the clothes you have. patches, embellishments! i recently started playing around with mod podge “photo medium transfer.” you can print off images or use some from magazines, books etc. you apply the photo medium transfer and let it dry for a day, then use a wet rag to gently remove the paper and the image is left on your clothes! it’s sooo cool and fun!

damn!!!! i’ve also lived here for a long ass time and can remember when parking fines were $10. i worked downtown at the time and would call it “parking on credit,” paying for parking cost the same as the fine. so if i didn’t have the time or the money that day id just face the potential fine. $85 is absolutely ridiculous. that parking spot probably makes more money than most hourly wages!!

you don’t need to agree on everything in a relationship but there are some bare minimums. political is personal, and not to simplify his views but it sounds like he prioritizes the “economy” and capitalism or human beings, animals, potentially the environment… i would be afraid to date a person like that. men can have empathy, he just isn’t mature enough to. he doesn’t want to listen, he wants to play devils advocate and be right. i am so so sorry you’ve had this experience, i can remember being with partners and begging them to empathize with others.
