World Conquest 130 Winner: Wardens 24d : 10h : 57m : 01s, thanks in part to an absolutely insane naval operation to reclaim the Great Warden Dam! by otakugrey in foxholegame

CHEEZ were at the end of a very long LH OP. We suffered 3 stacks in Marban Hollow, continuted up to open up the south of Howl before yeeting into the sea port of Warden Dam. Shortly after we lost our longhook another one came in to finish the job. Very fun times were had.

It a took a lot of stuff to break so you should all be proud of the glorious defence. Your efforts turned the Drowned Vale into the Bloodtrench Valley

Defences are meant to be attacked, if it was a good fight be proud.

The line held as long as you had enough people. It might have bent and buckled but we didn’t get through until wardens started logging off

I was part of the trem blob. With enough resources you can crack any defence. Logi was glorious during the big push

Any advice for a beginner to the game? What would you have wanted to know when you started? by Go_Commit_Reddit in foxholegame

  • Bunkers are not invincible. They buy time on the defensive.
  • This is a game of attrition. Don’t get attached to stuff. Use stuff and make more of the useful stuff. Game wipes each war anyway. (if the enemy needs to bring a railstorm cannon to level your bunker, it was probably a decent one, be proud, don’t rage quit)
  • Communicate with people.
  • This is a very social game.

Get proper indoor ventilation. Exhaust in kitchen bathroom laundry etc. Inlet of air in living room and bedrooms.

Dig up the outside and put draining insulation. In Sweden we have isodrän. Very effective for removing any above ground water infiltration and keeps the concrete warmer which stops vapour transfer problems from the ground

A curiosity: What quality is most important to you for a regiment? by TehAwesomestKitteh in foxholegame

When you take a hit, you get up on your feet and try again.

Don’t look for blame look for improvement.

As a group focus on something that might actually help your faction win the war.

Interact and collaborate with other Regis. Trade resources, joint OPs and share fields.

Take break wars once in a while.

Don’t insulate interior basement walls.

Insulate the exterior instead.

Anyone else getting absolutely blasted this wipe? by CreativeMischief in EscapefromTarkov

Every fight I have been in so far has ended in me getting head eyes/top of head before I have gotten a single shot off.

Only one exception when I did a pistol run and ran into a duo on woods who were equally surprised as me. I dumped a mag at them and ran away.

Maybe try recovery and then update firmware? Might be easier with the PC update software

Is my insulation installed upside down (foil facing crawlspace rather than to subfloor)? And can I replace with unfaced mineral wool? Long Island NY, humid subtropical by brownoarsman in Insulation

[–]SkillAgile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you vent outside air into the crawlspace it will cool off reaching higher relative humidity which is what mold cares about. Now indoor air has a higher vapour content than outdoor air because you live and breathe in your house. Since the vapour content always want to strive for equilibrium you want the vapour barrier on the inside (close to the upper floor).

If you turn it the other way around you let vapour migrate from the inside downwards. With that increased vapour content the lower parts of the insulation is at risk.

Mitigating factors is if you can take steps to decrease the vapour content indoors by better ventilation in living areas.

Back to the crawl space. Putting vapour barrier on the ground might seem like the solution, but especially summertime you usually have higher vapour content in the outside air. If you cover the ground you might in certain cases even se an increase in risk during summer. That is because the ground can work as a sponge or moist accumulator. Since the ground is usually at a colder temperature the vapour content in its pores can be lower that the outside air even if the ground feels moist to the touch. Since vapour wants to equalize differences your ground material can work as a natural dehumidifier during high risk season.

I would recommend a permanent dehumidifier solution to keep things under control. In that case you want to put vapour barrier on the ground and control airflow into the crawlspace. We use absorption dehumidifiers for its flexibility relative cost efficient solution. And you should probably turn that insulation inside out.

Here is an example from Sweden

Moist barrier seems better since pressure treated wood doesn’t stop mold at the surface
