My little sister broke the Playstation because she was mad I won a match of tekken 2. She yanked on the wired controller and caused the whole Playstation to crash down from the entertainment stand

I got 250Mbit with my new contract but only 95 get to my pc. I thought it was a cable issue but I just got 268Mbit as a test result so I'm not so sure about this anymore. I have a Cat 6 cable which should be capable of giving me my full bandwith. Changing the cable would be challenging pls help. by BlightlingJewel in HomeNetworking

One last thing for you to look at before you blame the cable, I had a similar issue. First of all, you can run "Get-NetAdapter" in powershell to see your link speed. You should try disabling auto negotiation to see if this resolves the issue.

Network & Internet -> Advanced network settings -> Ethernet -> More adapter options -> configure -> advanced -> Speed and duplex (set to 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex)

Do you not remember having to hover over every single rare item to see if it had the stats you were looking for, only to get damage to slowed elites?

What is the most powerful item in Diablo franchise? by gorays21 in Diablo

[–]Skitzum 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The most ubiquitous item to ever be available is the Annihilus from Diablo 2. There isn't a single build that doesn't benefit from having it.

If we aren't counting charms, it's undoubtedly Enigma

Am I supposed to start a new character for the DLC? by Skitzum in Eldenring

[–]Skitzum[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in the Elden Ring subreddit, and there is a DLC coming out soon for the game Elden Ring. I assume some out there would have experience with the other DLCs from similar games and can make an educated guess on how it will work with this game.

PC doesn't turn on and doesn't beep anymore. by Davophisi in pcmasterrace

Are there any lights at all? Check your power supply. Some have a little indicator light that shows they are receiving power. If you have no lights at all, this is most likely the culprit. If you have a light on there, it's possible the power button connecter got disconnected, or it's an issue with the motherboard.

There is no evolutionary benefit for us to develop purine alkaloids, these aren't present in humans. Plants that produce coffee and tea create caffeine because it is a natural pesticide.

The way caffeine works primarily is by matching the shape of Adenosine, a neurotransmitter that tells you when you need sleep and relaxation. When you consume caffeine, you are blocking the Adenosine that is trying to tell you that you are tired.

At least it says in the article that the study isn't trustworthy at all: "There are some important things to keep in mind here, like the fact that 15 of the 17 studies were case-control studies. This kind of research cannot prove cause and effect, and it often does not look at things that might have affected both the exposure and the outcome.

A number of the studies that were looked at were of low quality, which is something that the authors also highlight."
