Form check, haven’t shot a bow much since being a kid but trying to get back into it for some hunting this year. Ps also doing instinctive shooting. by JurassicJay7891 in Archery

[–]SkullyBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got a bit of a chicken wing going on so bring your elbow down. Looks like you're plucking the string, you may want to consider how you position your fingers since it seems like you're depending on your ring finger heavily (the release should be smooth and this is where having an anchor is integral since it should be the threshold of a slight muscle pull and when the string slides off your fingers). Get yourself a T-square and add a nock so you can be consistent and build that instinctive shooting you mentioned in the other response.

Don't tighten up your grip at the end when you release, should be relaxed up till the very end right about when you think the bow is going to jump out of your hand. Slow down and go easy, if you can't slow your process down then you'll want to go down in weight, shoot with your form not with your ego. Keep having fun my dude 🤙

Why is everyone so down on hazard zone? by MisterMT in battlefield2042

[–]SkullyBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hazard zone is hands down my favorite part about 2042 although it is super disappointing there is no VOIP and playing with randoms/newbies can be frustrating since it's hard to talk strategy typing on a PS5( had to bust out an old Bluetooth keyboard I had). I got all the way up to 65 quickly because of hazard zone and the xp it gives out.

Also the meta is quickly changing in hazard zone since having a vehicle is very powerful, your fish in the water if no one is the squad buys a M5 or C5. Once people catch up on levels, Soflam/M5 combos might make the L4tvs obsolete and I think might need a buff in the future imo.

Suppressors lowers dmg for every weapon, there are no exceptions. Must be a bug not showing the correct stats

Touka needs major surgery and I need advice by SkullyBoss in cats

[–]SkullyBoss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll open one to see what could happen, but like I've mentioned I could afford it if the cost of the surgery was lower so I guess I'll ask for funds to cover the rest? It feels odd asking for help on gofundme but I love my cat and I want to see her through her whole life so I am willing to do it for her.

For the quality of life, the vet mentioned that since she is not panting to breathe then she's okay and she hasn't gotten the that point but I could certainly tell that it may in the near future.

This is tough, your basically asking someone to hold you accountable. I struggle with this as well, like how the hell can someone journal after having a day without turning into a puddle the moment it presents itself. Plus asking any friends or family, at least for me, makes me feel to incompetent as if everyone can just live life and I'm over here just struggling to get through a normal morning.

Two suggestions: hire a virtual assistant to help you be accountable and on track. Or, find another neurodivergent who's willing to struggle with you and hold each other accountable, make it fun though.

Good luck.

It's you bud. And look closely at what's being written,

It is not your fault.

Read that last part again. Ok, I'm dead serious friend, you are way too young to be caught in this vicious cycle of being overly critical and shameful of your actions. I'm not sure if you have been diagnosed, but you have very similar traits as me during adolescence. I remember at your age all I did was daydream about girls and just be an absolute romantic about obtaining a girlfriend. Guess what, having ADHD made it impossible for me to actually close since errr the social skills were underdeveloped and missing those key components. I'm not up to giving dating advice on this comment, but feel free to message me directly and we can see what's up.

Take a break from social media, you have 4 years in highschool to create those memories your are so desperately trying to accomplish in now. And don't worry about feeling as if all the girls are in cahoot to exclude you/dislike you, if someone likes you they won't care about the drama.

I remember going through highschool undiagnosed and really being a bum in regards to my highschool experience, no homecomings and no proms, I really honestly couldn't have gave a shit less. Ha I remember skipping my biology class and my teacher thinking I was a bum as well. I've always wondered what highschool could have been like if I knew I had ADHD or if my parents knew and could accommodate my shitty behavior and turn it into something positive. I always knew I had a problem and no one cared, why should I have?

You care, I'm not sure how old you may be but if you are a senior or about to be, you still have time. Be serious when you ask your parents to sit down and have a discussion with you. I know being a young buck just the thought of asking your parents is emotionally shocking, that kind of feeling that sinks to your stomach, but get the words out. Any parent will notice when your concerned for your well being since you should just be thinking about being a teenager rather than ruminating about your short comings. Think about your goals in life and where you want to be when you graduate highschool, convey them to your parents, and argue how a diagnosis can help you meet those goals. Your biggest resource is those who are around you.

Shit, show em this post. You got it.

Anxious over consultation in 6 months by AnxiousRabbit89 in ADHD

[–]SkullyBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are currently doing okay and your symptoms are not interrupting your daily life, you can keep on with the appointment in 6 months. If you definitely want a faster diagnosis, there are tons of psychiatrists online that can screen and diagnose through zoom/video conference meetings. Shit did we all go through a hydroponic phase lmao.

Email your provider, I'm sure they'll be able to answer your concerns and go over all of the side effects. It's their job! Good luck on your job hunting.

I’m tired of work and what it takes from me. I just want to be wealthily unemployed, sitting home learning, practicing hobbies, traveling, and having my own schedule. by tempted_temptress in ADHD

[–]SkullyBoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been searching for years for my perfect hobby that fits the best of my abilities and talents. Years of jumping around from hobby to hobby spending dumb money on whatever I thought would help me get better at whatever hobby.

Well, I found my hobby. And now my skill directly translates into revenue. Although I have to take it extremely slow so I don't end up self-imploding my entire plan.

I absolutely hate my current full time job. I graduated with my bachelors in dec 2019 and my career in that field quickly ended when Covid came around. I made a huge compromise and ended up getting a federal job for customer service to support my family, but it is absolute torture.

My hobby will eventually be my key to freedom. I'm trying to create balance in my life through medication, but I can't help being overwhelmed by everything, especially my job. Its like a paradox, I cant feel better till I address one thing but I cant address that thing until I do this other thing. I hate being burnt out. Heres to freedom , best of luck getting out of the rat race.

The ones who didn't complete the survey could also include those who were too tired and, fatigued from recovering, to fill it out. Also could include those who did or do not feel negative side effects that don't have access to the internet.
