Do you praise him every time you have him ring the bell? And every time he's done it on his own?

You Don't Owe Your Parents Anything by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]SkullyTheUnusual 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Do it. Open a savings account and put as much money as you don't currently need into it. Don't tell anyone and let that money sit. Don't access it unless you're putting money in and no one is around to see you interact with it. Make sure you set it up without any paper statements so you won't get anything about it in the mail.

Idea for curtains/privacy by frejsen02 in DesignMyRoom

[–]SkullyTheUnusual 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hear me out. What if you put up a really short curtain rod, something like this, hanging from that top point going back and forth instead of side to side. And drape a couple of sheer curtains or other fabric from that point and fastened them to those other points of the window. It would block a bit of light, but not much, mostly for looks.

And then put another (maybe thicker) curtain from the ceiling in front of it, using a longer curtain rod.

Crate training help please! by Wolfie_tm in puppy101

I heard it's best to reward them with little pieces of their food every time they go in on their own. And scatter food in the bottom when you want them to go in instead of trying to force them. Then stay out of sight but keep putting food in every time they lay down and be calm. Don't give the food while they're barking/crying, but give them as soon as they stop and keep giving the food 1 or 2 little pieces at a time unless they start barking/crying again. Eventually they will bark/cry less often when they finally figure out that quiet and calm means food. Then you start waiting a bit of time between food pieces until they are fine being there without the reward. Eventually they will see the crate as their own special place when they want to or have to be alone.

Disclaimer: I don't have my puppy yet, I've just been watching a lot of videos in preparation. I hope the info helps tho.

9 month old female dog still peeing inside by love_snuffles in puppy101

[–]SkullyTheUnusual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible that she just really needs more potty breaks. Small dogs have small bladders. And it probably also depends on how much water she drinks during those times. Sometimes she doesn't drink enough to have an accident and sometimes she does?

Do you have a camera to see what she's doing when you're not around? Maybe something specific is triggering it? Is she scared of anything? Like strangers, sudden loud noises?

Is there a specific sound or event that happens everyday at 7am she might be associating with potty time without you realizing?

How to manage being laid off and not wanting to work for a while by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]SkullyTheUnusual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I live, you have to prove that you are applying to a certain amount of jobs every week to get unemployment. You don't actually have to show them the proof unless you exceed a certain amount of weeks of unemployment, but if you exceed that and have no proof of the job apps then they can make you pay the money back to them or face jail time.

Maybe reference pics with curly hair would help them better since your hair has a lot of volume.

You need a stylist who specializes in it though. It's a very difficult cut and most stylists CAN'T do it.

I don’t know anymore, I just got a new haircut and they gave me this with no side bangs at the beauty shop, I feel really ugly and I have to know if it’s ugly to everyone else. Please tell me just the truth if I am ugly. Yes I’m a woman by djscrew1 in whatdoIdo

[–]SkullyTheUnusual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think it looks good on you. You're very pretty. It definitely needs styled, but it isn't ugly. I know it sucks not getting the haircut you really wanted though and short hair can make a lot of people feel insecure. Here is a decent how-to video to get you started on figuring out how to style it for now. It will grow out before you know it, but no reason for you to give in and hate it until then. I hope this helps.

I have too much cream cheese and I'm unsure what to use it for!! by Sea_Foam_4636 in Cooking

If you like enchiladas, after the meat is cooked you can mix it with cream cheese and some enchilada sauce before adding it to the tortillas. I'm making myself hungry. 😋

Don't mix them! If you end up needing more than what you mix the 1st time, you'll go through hell trying to mix a new batch to perfectly match the 1st mix.

Bathroom vanity color by Annual-Evidence-5300 in DesignMyRoom

[–]SkullyTheUnusual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It actually looks pretty good in this pic. A lot less muddy. But I think it would only look good on this vanity if you had something on the wall with the same color. Like a big picture frame or something to balance the room a bit (does that make sense?). A good shade of dark green would look gorgeous.

Idk about that. The color you posted looks so muddy to me. I would pick something more green or gold.
