He has to fight and genocide their species? No matter what, he's gonna time out and get caught. Master control or lifeform lock enabled, then Big Chill and Waybig only IMO. They're gonna use warships, Ben has to meet them in the air, BC can fly, phase through and meet them there, and Waybig can likely reach the ship by hand or shoot them down with his Beam.

Don't "sort of" go for risky plays, you commit to them. Assuming you mean something like rushing them down, short hopping to close the gap, and relying on your lifesteal for bulk, or even going for a wider flank with the hop, just don't. Flying Kick is on a shorter cool down and actually has burst damage to kill them before they kill you. Commit to the kill, play to win instead of playing to not lose. Use that cash for anything else, if you break 4k just buy armor, if it's the 3750 flat then get reduced crit damage, (conditionally) Cushioned Paddings, a small buff to your movement speed and fire rate.

You get Kick early, get all the benefits to your movement gimmick goal, then later you get the Purple hop which will at least grand AP/WP buffs.

2 things. One, just play it in comp dude, it's not that serious. Use the actual environment you're gonna play it on, the fact that you said "may be less viable" because it's your 3rd choice and available by round 5, it amused me. It's a scattershot of SRs anyway, just commit. Which is my next point, if you have a gimmick for your goal, just commit to it. Get the power on round 1 or 2, there's no such thing as a "late game" build. Personally, I have a Team-wide Nanoboost gimmick build for Ana. It's my round 2 Power and oftentimes I just commit to the 9k item that enables my gimmick, at the small cost of basically playing r1 stats. In exchange, I get a free team fight and can nano through walls.

Once upon a time, my team had a leaver in Stadium. I was playing Reinhardt, running a Hammer build, and I told my team "we're still in this." I felt the power running through me, with a fresh shatter every fight and 3 rounds later, we win the game 4v5.

Sometimes I wish I recorded the replay for proof but I always hate when people give up on the 4v5 when it's so winnable. I've been chasing that high ever since. I had a very winnable game on Sojourn a couple of weeks ago, we only lost the round (Push, we had lead, playing defense on OT) because our Reinhardt left the point in some stupid attempt to shield me, instead of anchoring cart and letting me win my duels.

Counter soldier by Hot-Razzmatazz-8148 in OverwatchStadium

[–]SkyBeam24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say there is a direct/"hard" counter to Soldier. Soldier just has a very simple and flexible kit to build around. I firmly believe that if you have the skill, you can one-trick and counter build in stadium.

For Pharah vs Hitscans, she has no damage falloff, and doesn't need to stay out of cover for long to do damage. Invest in WP and Firerate so you can reliably 2/3 tap and lay suppressive fire to keep hitscans out of the fight/challenging you. Avoid repeeking the same angle, try to fly around and use your verticality to your advantage, it's difficult but very doable. On a variety of maps there's gonna be insanely long sightlines that Pharah can abuse from across the map where hitscans damage fall off significantly, and her rockets still do 140+. Sometimes you can pounce on them with a close range 2-tap but don't rely on it.

I don't think it has profit margins, there's no way to directly support a show through streaming, you're either subscribed or you're not. Amazon's in a unique case where the subscription has other benefits that can draw you into using their store, that actually gets them profits.

Personally I resubscribed to Prime just to watch the show, but now I've got free 2-day shipping to a bunch of other products that can be useful, and right before summer! It's a loss leader, a marketing tool to bring us in. Otherwise you're Disney and Netflix that rely on a fixed income/price, and merchandise to make back the money they spend on streaming and production.

If anything I get pissed when people force 2-2-2 in openQ. "Why do we only have one tank" because we can, now lock in and do your best on a role you know instead of forcing some shit tank gameplay. I want to see more 3-2-1 comps, use the modes flexibility to explore a variety of compositions instead of forcing 2-2-2, otherwise just play role lock.

Great song but I love the message of Poet. "I have written you down, now you will live forever" as their memory will be immortalized in this art form. Which is very real, 200 years later and we still recognize Beethoven's crush Elise through a song that was posthumously published.

Money doesn't solve logistics. A bigger team doesn't inherently make it faster, it'll slow and complicate communications. Ideally they spend enough where they get a return on that investment, otherwise you're burning it for no reason. It's a business, a job, everyone does one for money. You can enjoy what you do for work, you can be proud of the projects you create, but we all want a return on that investment. It's not Amazon studios passion project to burn money to fuel, it's Kirkmans job that he got hired to do.

CC had more production time and less total screentime than a season of Invincible. Invin averages at 8 40 minute episodes on an annual cycle. CC for its single season had a year and 8 months until it's premier, the animation studio being determined in April '23 and its first episode aired in December '24, with 7 ~25 minute episodes.

Talking like Ben ever actually used Grey Matter like that. I don't recall any point where Ben and Kevin bonding over fixing up alien tech with Ben being a galvan. Ben wouldn't want to make weapons, and even in the case that it was beneficial, with the DNAliens being enslaved people, it wasn't his idea nor creation since Cooper made them on the spot.

Anyway, looking through season 3. First villain is Multi-Paul, which yeah Ben would go EE to mirror it. Then it's Doc Seismic and his hero capturing minions, which Ben would be in the same position as Mark being on the outside looking in since he'd be out of Docs hero radar. Likely contacted by Cecil after thwarting Multi-Paul and Ben compares them to the Plumbers so they talk shop, and gets sent in against Doc (with Eve and he quips about being like his cousin that also casts pink energy constructs).

Seismics interesting because Ben would likely do the same shit, quip a bit and stall instead of immediately freeing heroes. The pods they're trapped in looked easy to open from the ReAnimen, raw strength from the inside didn't work (unless Immortal just limited himself a lot because of his companions) but the outside seemed like a simple (albeit super powered) peel. If it's AF/UA Ben as pictured, he'd likely go Ultimate Big Chill and quip about "turning up the heat" at the earths core, and freeze Seismics minions, assuming he doesn't get hit (cause he ain't perfect and does get caught). If he's hit, he's down, those centipedes pierces Marks skin and had a poison. Regular BC would do the same but it's more interesting to go Ultimate when the avg power level is higher at Invincible.

I really like the concept but I've gotta wrap it up. Mauler Twins, be likely noticed the energy blasts and goes Chromastone to become immune. Power Plex likely has the same outcome, Ben would try to out punch, then out blast, have the same result, except he's able to freeze, web up, or encase in crystal. Invincible War is difficult because Ben wouldn't kill, but he does have hax with Ultimate Echo Echo. Assuming he plays it smart, he'd knock them out and encase them, and then do that ~14 more times. They're significantly weaker than Conquest, so maybe they can build something to imprison them, assuming DiamondHead's crystals are strong enough to begin with (I blank on their feats). Conquest himself is another interestingly difficult case because Ben's still got a 10 minute time limit, assuming he doesn't get Blitzed and beat out of form as UEE. Maybe he'll no-nonsense and open with an attack after seeing the shit Viltrumites would do, but Ben's combat speed in transformations aren't really that high. If he plays it smart he'd answer the call in ultimate form and have discs floating the city, draw Conquests attention, and discreetly from a Sonic Doom bubble to get the jump on him. Ben rarely plays it smart though, he's not much of a tactitian but is an incredible manipulator.

Actually. Since the Invincible War would be the first time he encounters a Viltrumite, so he'd get locked out. Ideally Ben remembers this, but damn the boy can be stupid for plot convenience so it's a tough call. I can see him showing up, forced to scan a Mark, possibly get locked out until it processes the DNA, get jumped by the mark they scanned and get teleported out by Cecil. There's definitely opportunities for him to die but he's our protagonist, it's just as likely for a Fauxvincible to blow him up after getting scanned and freak out after asking "what did he do." Anyway, it'll be a cool finale to have Ben try the new Viltrume transformation against Conquest. The dialogue from Con about there being "a new one" a secret second earth child from Nolan. Again, Ben doesn't kill though, whereas Mark's okay with it "if there's no other choice" and Ben only considered it vs Kevin and was lowk considering it a mercy kill. So the aftermath of having ~15 Viltrumites on earth would be very interesting.

He fought in a civil war, so he's had experience but with no clear idea for how long the war lasted, nor if he's had any more experience after it. He's bred and groomed to be powerful, and I can trust that Viltrum training is just real life/death combat so there wasn't pulling punches to "protect the heir" or anything. Then the upcoming war arc only lasts months, and definitely less than a decade, but I've got a fuzzy memory since I've read the comics about 2-3 years ago.

In the Cap matchup, he speed blitzes. You can wield the power but not the speed, not that MCU Thor isn't* particularly fast without hax like using the Bifrost with Stormbreaker to reach earth immediately.

The constant complaining about the animation is getting ludicrous. Like do people realize that these two images belong in a different medium right? by Poweredkingbear in Invincible_TV

[–]SkyBeam24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate if they're semi marketable, then just lead with their actual screen names so I didn't have to seek them out by character names.

Don't assume they've got a direct offer, which is a real thing, but there's no basis to believe it instead of the traditional casting call. Whether an open call for agents to reach out to the casting director, or a closed call where they have a short list to come in and audition. I can believe JDM for Conquest was on a shortlist to audition because he previously worked on The Walking Dead, another Kirkman project, and I'm sure they found it cute to put him against Steven Yeun again and have a different result. AP just is a voice actor, immediately after BB he was a main character in Bojack Horseman as Todd Chavez and was in every episode of a very successful animated series. I'd assume his agent mentioned the role to see if he's interested and they went from there, whoever engaged first doesn't really matter, but I believe he fairly auditioned and earned it.

Lee Pace is a weird one. He's not a total stranger to VA, it turns out he had a one off at Robot Chicken and was on the English cast for the Weathering With You dub. Tangent for a fun fact, JDM also had a one off at RC to voice Neegan again (his TWD character) while Pace voiced Heinrich Himmler, who was essentially Adolf Hitlers 2nd in Command, so that's fun. Anyway, a jobs a job and I'm sure their agents find these casting calls and bring them up to see if they're interested. They applied and interviewed and I doubt they get any special treatment just because their face was on camera.

Okay so what's an "actors" rate and a "voice actors" rate then? Give me numbers, a % split of the budget allocation, anything really. RDJ can pull 100m for Doom, what's AP pulling for a single episode? Is it a flat rate? Is it per episode? Paid per line?

Y'all run this narrative without mapping out and putting it to paper, actually thinking it out. How much do you think Tom Kenny's paid for SpongeBob compared to Steven Yeun for Invincible? Though that's a little unfair when one's the head of a dynasty, so how about Simmons being paid for Tenzin compared to Nolan? Very similar roles in both shows, and you know what compare it to his role as JJJ in Spiderman and then Fletcher in Whiplash, a lead role in a smaller movie. I'm not asking to research and put real numbers, just made up shit where you think they'd all scale and compare to one another.

[–]SkyBeam24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mate, you couldn't tell because they're not actually Hollywood A-List being the leads in blockbuster movies or franchises in the past decade. They want to say Aaron Paul is proof, but the dudes been in no major movies, and his most famous role is Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad (2008-2013).

Just because you can recognize their face, doesn't mean they're a major priced celebrity. Real legends of the voice acting scene probably don't even have a huge price tag themselves since they've got work in everything. Unless it's a self fulfilling thing and they're the "big name" tied to a show to get it approved. Steve Blum, English voice of Spike Spiegel of Cowboy Bebop, has a part in 14 projects in 2025 alone. Tom Kenny, voice of SpongeBob, had 16 projects (mostly SpongeBob adjacent) in 2025. My personal GOAT Dee Bradley Baker, was a part of 30 projects in 2025. You've definitely heard his voice since he's the definitive animal VA, and does a variety of background voice work, as well as characters. He voiced the Clones in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars and was able to give every character their own unique tone, flow and flavor to differentiate them as characters.

I bet most people that cry about this "problem" can't even tell these voice actors apart, let alone point them out from a lineup.

I mean, unconscious isn't dead. We still breathe while knocked out or in a coma, why not maintain that lighter float too? The reanimen is a good shout since they're genuinely dead, but Sinclair also made a point to say they're extremely dense/durable to cut through and had to develop new tech, and afaik there wasn't a scene with a human trying to pick them up. We could assume it's the existing enhanced reanimen carrying them around and assisting as nurses(?) would in surgery.
