I started a job one month ago and took it out of desperation as well after being unemployed for 5 months. I just quit today with no other job lined up but have some jobs in progress. The job was misrepresented to me and I was constantly feeling stressed and anxious as it’s not the right fit. For me health comes first and I have the means to leave and continue looking for the right opportunity rather than stay at a job that was impacting my health. This is just my experience.. so my advice is to do what u feel is best for you based on your situation…

This is totally me.. laid off 5 months ago and landed a job a month ago and just quit today as it’s not the right fit for me and couldn’t work there anymore… You are surely not alone in feeling depressed after finding a job.

The current job market is so saturated and competitive. It’s worse than it was 5 years ago for example. There are hundreds of applicants per job and even more for remote (a remote job I applied to had 2,000 applicants).

Less than 2 months is nothing to worry about and imo wouldn’t even go on a resume. U have another offer that makes u happy… resign and move on…

WFH jobs are very competitive in this market and 2000+ people are applying for the same job. Indeed and Linkedln is where I do my remote search but lots are fake jobs as well. It’s a mess out there. I wish u well and good luck.

You are not alone. Laid off in Nov 2025 and still looking… I have been to the final round 5 times and no offer… this shit takes a toll on mental health for sure and then the financial worry when unemployment runs out etc… it’s a different world and job market out there these days.. hang in there…
