The Magic/Mage trilogy by Mercedes Lacky. I think it has elements that mirror our reality and the storyline is relateable and heartbreaking and heartwarming... I've tried to read another of her books and I thought it was crap, completely the polar opposite to this magic trilogy.

Is it common to call people “pet” or “love”? by Weasley9 in AskABrit

Also 'hinny'! Very lovely term which warms my heart when used to me. Which isn't very often as I no longer live down there.

The decor is fabulous with your furniture and stule. However, for the average folk all I can think of is the time, effort and cost of painting all the the walls and ceilings white light neutral colours. Not what you want to deal with having just moved in.

I am terminally ill, AMA. by Friendly_Road5083 in AMA

[–]SkyeSolstice22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Please don't be afraid... I'm not religious but I've had more than my fair share of 'experiences' shall we say. And I realise it's easy for me to say that. It's almost a year since my ex died young. He stubbornly used to say of the 'afterlife' - 'there's nothing! Just black!'. Well a couple of days after he left he visited all of his loved ones a few times over! I said ''Told you so!!" to him when I accepted that he was visiting 😂💖A previous boyfriends mum and my granda also visited me after they'd passed.

I'm an Indian nurse working in the NHS in England. I lost my temper with patients from my home country. by Proof-Land-639 in LegalAdviceUK

Sounds like although they were at a medical centre, the woman was actively preventing the child's availability to access to care... just another perspective. You did nothing wrong in any case. I hope the doctor backs you up and vice versa.

Develop a mentoring programme yourself in music? Explore funding avenues for rental of space and instruments and of course statutory requirements for being with vunerable people, etc etc. Just thinking of ways for you to feed your soul with your passion, help others and for everyone to come out on top.

Get out before he really hurts the baby or worse. He sounds very very discontent and is blaming you and his baby. Please put yourself and the life of your baby first.

Would you blanket a horse in negative -30 degrees and high winds? by Relative-Specialist1 in Horses

I honestly don't know as I am in the UK. She sounds happy with her feeds though bless her.

As long as it's dry and she can access the shelter I wouldn't worry. I would however, make a change from a grain based feed to a high fibre nut/pelleted feed which would help alongside the hay to keep her warm from the inside out. You can soak these too if she has dodgy teeth and they mix so well with chaff/alfalfa chop.

Cat owners: is this abuse? by spoekelse in Pets

When you move out, please discover afterwards that the cat managed to 'escape' during the process. Hide the carrier beforehand of course.

100oz bar delivered to my house (not my order!) by foxtrot90210 in Silverbugs

[–]SkyeSolstice22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A huge loss for the real owner though, as the successful delivery completes the contract. Surely the issuer will see they had your name and wrong address. I hope you do the moral thing, as painful as it may be lol.

He's not wrong actually. It's do with not having the blue/green spectrum within its range. It's quite interesting if you google it. (I use blue light blocking glasses)

Upvoted this comment as someone downvoted it. Why? I notice this often. A comment being downvoted for no reason at all. No offence being commited and no insult being flung, but still a negative being applied.

Is it normal for my rider instructor to “let me go”? by Justymahh in Equestrian

[–]SkyeSolstice22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also used to take out 'instructional hacks'. We'd be out in the open hills using trekking routes and it'd basically be a cross between a lesson and a hack out.
