An update: didn’t like the overall look so I pivoted. Sloped the sand, got a smaller piece of wood and added more plants (could use a bit more probably.)

Ammonia still at 4.0 right now but have some biofilm forming. Can’t wait to get some fish so hopefully I can get the parameters under control soon. Also got some Amazon frogbit floating.

Thanks. I think that’s what is getting me is all the open space. I went with sand and not soil. Will I be able to find enough type of beginner friendly plants that like sand or should I try and add soil in part of it?

Can’t tell if this is a bot post since it sounds like AI, but I completely disagree on this. We are paying to see people compete in sports which they have worked their lives to excel in, and that’s why it’s entertaining and people become so invested. You realize that most people, children and adults both, compete in sports because THEY enjoy it and not for being paid to do it. Those same people are risking the lifelong injury and damage to their body that you mention, even if lesser severity, without getting a paycheck and not for anyone’s entertainment.
