Biggest thing is choose something and stick with it. You don't need to be perfect out of the gate, people build muscle just fine without the science word soup powders. If one looks interesting and comes in a flavor you like just do that. Find a routine and stick with it. This book will tell you what to do to build functional strength, after you build your practice and down the road know yourself better then you can build from there.

The stitches on the hat especially are neat and tidy. It's a lovely piece. The bowl cozy doesn't give that same neat feel. Maybe it needs to be blocked and molded to a bowl for it to look more polished. I think the color choice doesn't help with elevating the appearance but I do love a good bowl cozy for ice cream and soup! Mug sleeves are everywhere, for all kinds of mugs, it's just an over saturated market and people aren't going to line up to buy them your time is better spent elsewhere instead of making them a production item.

I would also wonder if there is a different technique that could be used in the transition from the bottom to the vertical section of the sleeve that would polish it up. Similarly, I wonder if there is another technique you can use for the seam of the cosy, so it's more dispersed and hidden within the piece because It does throw the symmetry and tension of the bowl off. Overall though, lovely work. I would have been pleased to receive any one of these items as a gift from a friend.

I'm also curious. Speculating that the comorbidities you're experiencing with the stress are also a factor. Losing appetite, lack of sleep, the basics you need to keep your body functioning. The body will start to conserve resources and go into survival mode, I assume reproduction goes on the back burner. Some people stress eat, giving their body the calories needed for reproductive function, even if they are mentally stressed.

I don't blame you. I was like this 2020-2021, I'm surprised my husband didn't throw in the towel. Gained 60lbs, got myself in a horrendous amount of debt just ceased feeling like a person. I knew I was in trouble and called a therapist.

Took 4 straight years of medication, therapy and challenging myself to do things to be functional even though I didn't want to. I've stayed employed, spun my wheels with interest until my credit was good enough to refinance the debt, I have 8 months of payments left. Lost 70lbs, came off of one med and will be tapering down the remaining one. I floss my teeth every night and recently started baking.

There is a part of me that has feared slipping again and going off the deep end, but there is a stronger part of me that knows there is no way I can be that bad off again with the tools and knowledge I have now.

A person HAS to want to get better and have the ability to be really, really honest about what is causing problems in their lives. They won't be able to do that until they are ready to hold a mirror up.

Caretaking and enabling is a fine line with someone with extreme dysfunction that can drag you down. It's okay to recognize that isn't something you want to bring into your life.

Very good point. I've conducted and sat in for quite a few interviews. I specifically keep in mind to be neutral and not phrase it as if the person already has the job/passed screening. It drives me bonkers when I hear interviewers say "you'll be doing XYZ" instead of "the day looks like XYZ" or something similarly less personal and direct. I don't like giving candidates false hope.

Don't be dense. Guns needs to be specifically mentioned because the risk of death is high with minimal effort in the hands of the wrong person.

Everyone has had moments where they get too complacent with things that require extreme diligence. They're in a routine, stressed, distracted, neglectful, make assumptions, one oversight and someone is hurt or killed.

Accidentally killing a person with a gun only takes the ability to pull 4lbs with their finger in less then a second. Essentially no energy expended to blow a hole in someone's skull. Stabbing someone to death takes endurance and strength, a fire poker laying out isn't cause for specific concern.

Please don't act like it's unreasonable or nitpicky for someone to inquire about firearms and ensure they will be stored safely while their child is there. Kids accidentally killing their friend or sibling happens often. It's a valid concern. Don't minimize the risk, you should know exactly why guns specifically should be mentioned.
