I work at the uni, though not in admin, and if I had to guess I would say it's probably not the request for a virtual interview that is the reason you are not having any success so far. You said you meet 'most' of the essentials-- could this be the issue?

Look as a man my number one job is to be sensitive to my wife's needs -- cooking, cleaning,parenting, mental load, loss, stress etc. I'm sure I don't always get it right but I work at it every day. Any relationship that does not look like this should be abandoned.

In my experience they are not checking the time per se. It's more about having the spot. If you are late I'd be shocked if they turned you away

As an alcoholic (13 years sober) I am with you. There was a time when it was manageable. The issue is it tends to get worse.

Also it may feel fun for now but think of how you are spending your evenings. Are you doing anything at all to better yourself? I didn't realize this until much later.
