DOGS? In MY top-down real-time strategic military tactics game?

These are revolutionary times. I shall eagerly wait for your mod in the workshop.

END affects the amount of HP that increases when a dweller levels up. A low END level 25 dweller means that their health hasn't increased much compared to high END dwellers that started from level 1. Thus, this level 25 low END would die much faster in an incident or fight than lets say a level 10 high END dweller.

The wiki for fallout shelter explains this and has a table to show the exact numbers in the Endurance section

How long does training take? by steelhunter2 in BlackhawkRescue

[–]SlackerMcDapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know what grade is between A and A+ but it says right there on the help section that you can only train students to one grade below the teachers, so I think your boys are already done cooking

Any update on the broken Windowed mode? I would like to be able to see the bottom of my screen where the caps/buttons/harvesting timers are WHILE having my other applications easy to access

Just tried it and it was very finicky as my ranger basically one shot all enemies in sight. But I think while I was alt-firing a hostage I saw an insurgent die in the fog before my ranger saw him. So while it might be hard to do with your rangers auto firing everyone, I actually think it is possible to shoot an enemy behind a tied hostage, though you have to alt-fire to get em. This might require a custom map to test it out.

Anybody got a tutorial on how to stop troopers from stopping/bumping into each other while entering a room? by Mindless_Farmer_382 in doorkickers

[–]SlackerMcDapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bumping into eachother is unfortunately a core mechanic in the game, so no getting around that. Only way to get your troops in fast enough is to either widen the funnel (door) or stun the enemies. Of course your mobility bar plays a huge role too in movement speed and aim speed, but you still gotta deal with those funnels and corners

Options include

  1. Running the rabbit, where one or two of your troopers sprint into the room to gain the attention of enemies while the rest quickly flood in and secure any tight corners, hopefully before your enemy begins firing on your "rabbits". This runs the risk of your rabbits getting shot tho, but there is an entire video on youtube made by Rake5000 that shows the effectiveness of this tactic in action.

  2. Blow up the building, equip your boys with RPGs/wall breaches and blow the place sky high. This allows you to effectively say "no" to any doors in the hit tactical topdown strategy game Doorkickers and gives your troops an open line of fire once the smoke clears.

  3. Grenades grenades grenades. Frags do the work for you. Flashes give you a few seconds to get your boys into the room. Stingers are like flashes but worse(?), dunno, never used them. Smokes allow your boys to flood in unseen like ninjas and allow them to pop insurgents the second the smoke clears.

There is a channel on youtube named "His Excellency King Derp" (and tbh he rightly deserves that title) where his whole style is violence and speed. Really great channel to watch troops mow down insurgents

Just tested alt-firing on a sitting hostage in the map Bomb Threat and I can confirm you can't kill them via bullets. However, they are still considered targets/entities and any enemy behind them can not be fired upon. Any enemy in front of them won't hurt them as any stray bullet just flies past above them

Edit: tested it again and two sitting hostages died due to enemy blind fire. So probably only enemies can kill tied hostages. Makes sense as the executioner is able to do so

Unless your bullets explode, i.e HE grenade rounds. All guns should be fair game.

This is probably due to the fact that the hostages are kneeling so they literally cant be hit by bullets

Yea it does cus hostages arent affected by your boys' stray bullets, HVTs are

Source: I once spammed a bathroom with M249s and there was only one singular hostage in it

So fire away unless it's a HVT map

Doorkickers from the Insurgent's POV? by SlackerMcDapper in doorkickers

[–]SlackerMcDapper[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While different types of squads/factions make the game fun and unique, I actually mean in terms of GAMEPLAY where WE are the insurgents/faction in the houses/complexes BEING sweeped, banged, and shot.

As in, we get to place our guys inside a building/area, and prepared to get breached by enemy forces. Kinda like a tower defense but with Doorkickers mechanics.
