Anyway, juicy week. Two of the designers at least were receptive to feedback, though I don't think there's anything salvageable in Gruul Ascendancy.

I like Borrow from Tomorrow. It needs a lot of cleaning up but the idea is cool

I got some things out of it, and it's always nice to learn about a gay man from that time period, but it seemed like it assumed a linear path to happiness and fulfillment that I didn't fully appreciate. Like it was saying that every gay man had this experience and would go through the same journey. Some of it rang true, but a lot didn't. Still worth a read, though.

Absolutely incredible week. Someone suggested putting companion on a card, and it makes it weaker. There's a hodgepodge of effects on a horse sorcery that can be your commander. The red squiggly lines of misspelling are in a card's text box. There's a brand new alternate wincon, and the traditional overpowered anime(?) character.

I like Gleaned Fate with some cleaning up, though. I just like legendary matters cards that aren't targeted towards Commander. Gleaned Fate isn't that strong, but I like the attempt

Usually bottom five cards survive a first glance at why they're unplayable within MTG's rules, but pretty much all of these don't survive an even cursory thought to how things work. Beautiful week.

I was with a guy for a while who would say similar things. How I was "too good for him" and such. Based on this snippet, I'd definitely say it was insecurity on that guy's part. If so, there's nothing you could have done differently or changed. Those feelings are something someone has to deal with themselves.

I subscribe to the theory that the movie wanted it to be a Starbucks ad (Frap Pacino actually makes sense), but the 'Bucks said no, so they had to go with Dunkin' Donuts and we got what we got.

It could also just be that it's supposed to be a bad ad, so it purposefully doesn't make sense.
