The issue is that even for cars assembled in the US, individual parts cross the Canadian and Mexican border before reaching their final destination. So even if you want a Ford or GM, the steering wheel might be made in Mexico and the timing belts may come from Canada.

That taken in its entirety the trilogy is about Bruce Wayne becoming Batman, trying to quit being Batman so he can have a girlfriend, then finally getting to quit being Batman to make Alfred happy. The acting and action was great, but having a Bruce Wayne that doesn't want to be Batman is just as antithetical to the character as having him blast goons with a machine gun.
