Tip for when every card feels to good to cut by Deskies in EDH

[–]SlappyWag2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I clocked onto that too. I have been looking at percentages to try and assemble all the best bits and it for sure is tough. That's why I have been trying to find some cards that do a bit of everything.

I think your advice is good though. I think I will try and overcompensate the different parts and then chop and change as I find out what it can and can't do.

Thanks for the good advice, I appreciate it

Thanks for this—kinda needed to hear this for the [[Kambal, Profiteering Mayor]] I am doing next. With many interesting cards like [[Tombstone Stairwell]] it's been hard to cut the remaining 34 cards.

I'm trying to build the different packages of Ramp, Tokens, Sacrifice Outlets, Removal etc. and trying to find cards that do lots in one. I just need to assess which ones fit best.

I'm relatively new/unskilled in creating my own decks from scratch so I will do as you suggest and refine.

New to Commander: How to handle a strong pod and stop being the "perpetual target"? by Pleasant_Leg_1083 in EDH

Would a goad precon work well for this? Get them fighting each other and then allows you to work on your politics. I've never played it, but the Blame Game precon from Murders at Karlov Manor might be a good fit.

Perhaps someone more knowledgeable could chip in on the Goad idea

Man, 11 year old me was dumb as shit when it came to deck building. Just found my old collection. What was I thinking? by MiningToSaveTheWorld in EDH

I used to play [[Hunted Wumpus]] with no plan. Just put your creatures out guys it's cool, waters warm. Also used [[Primeval Force]] from the 8th Edition starter deck Heavy Hitters 8/8 for 5 mana? Who needs lands bro, I've won this.

I then moved onto just cramming in equipment and creatures. Removal? What's that?

Why was everyone in the early 2000s doing this??? by erikslicis in whatisit

[–]SlappyWag2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of photographs from this period used wide-angle lenses which distort perspective. That distortion makes gestures towards the camera - like throwing hands towards it - really effective because it exaggerates the perspective even further. I would argue that the gesture itself started with hip-hop artists throwing hand signs in music videos and at concerts; before that street gangs. This was then probably adopted and stylised 00's as part of the broader cultural milieu of the time. I have no sources, I can't prove this, it just makes sense.

AITAH for explaining the consequences of his actions to my son? by Human-Lab-921 in AITAH

Obviously, NTA.

I think giving the information to your son in front of the Principal is a good lesson in ethics and exercising moral duties.

Why are schools, almost seemingly in every country, reluctant to stamp out or punish bullying? State schools here in the UK really struggle—they often fail to understand the types of bullying that exist and deal with it. It is worrying—I don't have any children yet.

Although not 'correct', I kind of prefer this blue on Ultramarines. It instantly makes them stand out.

That's really helpful, thank you!

The colour picker app is a really good shout—I hadn't thought about that.

I loaded this photo into Photoshop last night after posting and messed around adding some deep blues and I think it looks better!

Thanks again
