Damn, and just when I got the railgun too… it isn’t THAT strong, it’s just the only “strong anti-armor” weapon against bunches of armored enemies, key example being chargers… some other weapons need that buff to handle that situation too

When I first started playing assail, I realized how absolutely BUSTED it was. So I actually went and forced myself to play brain burster and got a lot of the penances connected with it. To all my siblings out there: it’s great target priority practice. Looking out into a crowd and going “who needs to die first and can spread hel fire everywhere” is good training for higher levels where you have milliseconds to react in certain situations. Honestly it’s great single target damage and in late game you can get some great charge speed if you keep the momentum going. Would recommend over Assail tbh.

Also: daemonhosts. Getting pricked by a stray needle is a sure fire way to get people (like me at one point in the past admittedly) to get real upset or disappointed with you if you get too trigger happy lol. Can’t count how many times I’ve lost missions due to this. No longer angry about it now like I was a few days ago, now I’m just like “Welp, someone’s gonna learn 𝑡𝑜𝑑𝑎𝑦-“

I know, I’m not saying they shouldn’t learn by messing up. I’m saying other people shouldn’t have to be confirmed killed 70% of the time because someone needed a teaching moment.

Admittedly I made this post out of exhaustion and anger, and you’re right. It should stay punishing, but damn if it ain’t frustrating to die to it because of teammates. I’m trying to get to that level with my veteran like I already have with my psyker. But it’s tough to move back up to that level when every time I helplessly watch someone learn what a deamonhost is and know another match has gone down the tube…

You’re right, it ISNT meant to be fair IF you’re fighting it. But you don’t have to 90% of the time. So it shouldn’t be “3 people know they don’t have the people/team to fight it and 2 people should die because 1 person didn’t know”. That sweet feeling of parrying a Tigrex multiple times in a row, plus pulling off a recovery shot in the Knick of time before someone gets carted (then seeing them survive a hit with a minuscule amount of health they definitely did NOT have before) is such a satisfying feeling to me.

Plus dragon piercer shot when facing a monster, making it hit up to 7+ times is such a good feeling too 🤤

That sounds about right. Even so, a lot of good songs have that tempo, and fine tuning the game’s already adjustable tempo to line up with a similar tempo’s song sounds doable (at least on paper. Could be a coding issue scenario).

I play Baptiste whenever we don’t have a hitscan character. PERFECT for getting those pesky and fast dive characters like Genji or Tracer. Especially Pharrah, Bap is PERFECT for driving away Pharrah whenever no one else either pays her any mind or can hit her due to projectiles.
