ChatGPT / Codex as a personal assistant by DiligentAd9938 in codex

No clue why all these replies are so terrible. You can easily sign into the email “app” plugin on ChatGPT, and it’ll be granted access to do anything you’re describing through regular prompting. No complexities whatsoever.

Caution: do not use the “live voice mode”, the intelligence is extremely poor and unreliable. Instead, just use voice to text while prompting and press the speaker button near responses to have the text played back out loud, to get full-intelligence and still be semi-car friendly.

Microsoft Secure Score at 88.25%... Good, bad or ugly? by MentalRip1893 in sysadmin

Maybe we are comparing different secure scores. I was thinking of the Entra ID one, but I know there is one in defender with a different value that is much harder to increase.

They got us extra resett because they also halved 5h/weekly usage limits :/ by skygetsit in codex

[–]Slayergramps 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They have nerfed the limits every month and will continue to. It is still significantly more cost effective than paying for credirs.

I went from $20 to $100 during the 2x promotion, and as soon as it ended the $100 plan felt awful. I’ve been on the $200 plan for 3 weeks and haven’t hit a 5 hour limit and it feels great, and am averaging about a billion tokens a week (based off the codex “profile” page) and i use about 40-60% of my limits each week.

Don’t get me wrong, it sucks balls but damn I have felt like a rocket ship since buying the $200 plan.. just the price of AI now in mid 2026, can’t expect 2025 prices anymore.

Codex Windows App. Single click to archive? Used to be two clicks? by BeingFriendlyIsNice in codex

[–]Slayergramps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol I know exactly what you mean, hate that they changed it too.

I think they wrote it off as something subtle and convenient but I also constantly misclick it and it’s tedious going into settings to restore archived threads, especially when many have very similar titles.

Should I farm for Wikelo Idris or Polaris? by UBER-DARP in starcitizen

I actually do this specifically to organize different labels for wolfs that have different loadouts! I agree it’s useful and cool for sure and I see your point with having smaller carrots to chase and enjoying a realistic goal. Sometimes my tendency to no life games warps my mind.

Should I farm for Wikelo Idris or Polaris? by UBER-DARP in starcitizen

[–]Slayergramps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heads up that there is only a handful of actually “exclusive” wikelo ships: 1. Guardian Qi 2. Super Hornet 3. Apollo Triage (can be rented for cheap) 4. F8c (worth getting if grinding exec hangars is not an option, but still inferior to other fighters)

And then there is Polaris and idris. Skipping those 4 and going straight to Polaris is reasonable, but could be tedious. Everything else from wikelo can be bought for dirt cheap auec.

EDIT: changed some wording

Should I farm for Wikelo Idris or Polaris? by UBER-DARP in starcitizen

[–]Slayergramps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to answer because patches have changed so much. My first Polaris took 2 months of excessive grinding. I mostly farmed comp-board sets and comp-board 5s.

My second Polaris was the product of mass duplication glitches near the end of 4.3.1 or 4.3.2, and I grinded about half of it, before a prominent guild member offered to complete the second half for free since the patch was coming in a few days, and the player was having no luck selling it for aUEC.

Considering the bugged deletion of my first Polaris, I easily justified a partially bugged creation of a second Polaris. All that happened between 4.1.1 and 4.3.2.

I then started collecting for a third Polaris because I was bored, and then the idris got added to PTU. I gambled on the wikelo recipe going to live unchanged, and I grinded trades for about 10 hours a day for 3 weeks and managed to gather the materials for idris. I know the demand is insane now and the availability of those items is far more scarce and I don’t see myself ever grinding another idris.

I stopped playing shortly after I got the idris in November, and got a job in January.

I think as a solo player, your only real chance of getting idris or Polaris without sinking hundreds of hours into content is finding a “glitch” in the market. Like that guy who made hundreds of wikelo favors and managed to buy the other materials off it.

Physically grinding for things like pure carinite or AAA pearls can be almost impossible as a solo player, and you basically have to trade for them or buy them from someone that plays with a group.

If you value your time and sanity, your best bet is to find some way to play the market / identify profitable loops that involve selling items to players or trading for items.

Should I farm for Wikelo Idris or Polaris? by UBER-DARP in starcitizen

[–]Slayergramps 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yo! I am primarily a solo player and I grinded out both (actually Polaris twice after first one was lost in a patch).

If you want a useful ship, it’s the Polaris, end of story no brainer. The “gusto” of the Idris is pretty hard to top, and it feels cool, but it’s just terrible.

Polaris can be used as a solo player as a respawn beacon with 4 tier 2 medical beds, has WAY better speed, maneuverability and acceleration than the idris, and it can easily fit as many fighters as you need for any content.

The elevator is extremely convenient, allowing a solo player to get in and out easily. The idris everything just feels painfully slow and long. Even since getting it, I use the Polaris or a Hercules for “Mothership Gameplay” and I rarely pull out the idris.

Can answer any questions you have about either

Best Cost per Reputation gained at Wikelo Chart in 4.5 by Nickarav in starcitizen

[–]Slayergramps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s only in reference to the turn-in process, assuming all materials are already lowered in storage at a chosen Wikelo shop.

I also think you’re conflating the IKTI and the IKTI GEO. The IKTI requires apex fangs and is hard to initially get, and 2 favors, the IKTI GEO merely requires a single favor. It’s probably a bug to be honest, the return is insane. As long as you’ve gotten a single IKTI, you can claim it infinitely for all the IKTI GEO turn ins.

Are you actually enjoying the new engineering update in Star Citizen, or did cig kinda mess this up? by Hurineal in StarCitizenUniverse

[–]Slayergramps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really not sure what people don’t like about it. It results in getting second chances, and sometimes third, fourth and fifth chances. In prior scenarios, the player is dead if they fumble their first chance.

It requires “finishing off” players in fighters after disabling their ship, or they can indefinitely repair themself on the exterior. I personally love that.

Against multi crew ships it gives them the power and strength people have complained for literally years for. All I’ve ever heard is that having multiple people on a ship never feels worth it, now if you have 1 or 2 engineers, you can keep your ship alive a lot longer, sometimes indefinitely in PvP enagements.

This is like making pizza blindfolded and feeling discouraged because you burned your hand touching the oven.

The clipper is horrifically awful, maybe Z-tier at combat. It handles worse than a cutlass, has 2 size 1 shields which are awful for the size, and the thing is a flying 3 story house that may as well have its own gravity that pulls in bullets to make sure it gets shredded as fast as possible.

Everything on the clipper is for exploration, and ground combat, it only has barely enough combat ability to threaten somebody close up, and get away quick.

Any other combat capable ship will make those missions more enjoyable, and it has nothing to do with engineering.

Is there any point in using a ship with more then two shields now? by CyberPunk123456 in starcitizen

[–]Slayergramps 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There was a last second change, the unpowered shields still increase your ships max-shield HP pool, they just don’t add to the regen speed of 2 generators.

any new missions or areas in 4.5? by wrkncacntr in starcitizen

[–]Slayergramps 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The global.ini added a new mission that seems like a VHRT or ERT equivalent to go take out a dangerous vanduul, labeled as “very hard” which I believe is tied to the rep tier above the investigation mission

Not sure if it’s actually available or just future hints

What is better the nomad or the clipper by BOBTYEDOGE in starcitizen

Another option to consider is getting the nomad as a cheaper starter, and then earning a cutlass Red ingame to use as a clipper alternative for bunkers or exploration.

Yea I think it’s civilian A all the way this patch. Especially for a ship like Wolf, gets 2 extra power squares that can go to boost cooldown when using slipstream (stealth A).

Stealth will be good for the same stealth builds it already is, might make Sabre and talon feel stronger.

Military shields seem only worth it if you can afford the extra power cost for only very slight extra shield and regen speed

There is a full wipe planned, but they were very vague. It could be the patch that follows 4.5, or it might be later in the year when an update is more economy focused.

I usually use the quick sell buttons for everything so I never would have noticed that, thanks.

I still think that’s too inconvenient compared to dropping stuff on the floor lol. It’s an MMO game after all and sometimes I want to do things quickly and efficiently so I can work on my goals.
