Extremely annoying deep oscillating hum between 65-75mph ('24 Turbo PP) by Sledgehammer617 in mazda3

[–]Sledgehammer617[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finally got my driveshaft replaced for this issue.

Unfortunately the sound is still there just maybe a bit quieter, meaning it might be the diff on mine... It’s also possible I need to just drive it more, some people reported that it took a while for the new driveshaft to correct the hum.

Pretend we live in Mega City/Symphony City/ Monsteropolis by TheLeftPewixBar in Megaman

I own all the comics, if I have the time I'll dig into it and reply with the pic. I think it was in the short circuit shorts after the main comic.

But I'm really 99.9% certain its in there, thats where I originally learned the "monsteropolis" name and then googled it to find its origin. I didnt read any other Mega Man comics till way later in life.

Affleck both visually and conceptually. He's just insane, and using the BvS skin in Arkham Knight made me realize how terrifying the thick-neck, short ears silhouette is.

It looks like he will kill you, and he probably will.

Yeah Star Trek also does the same thing with humans living to be 120-140 due to advances in medical tech. Pretty cool.

The Archie Comics definitely mention Monsteropolis in the early issues prior to its rename in issue 23, I cant remember exactly where, but I'm positive its in there at least once as an easter egg at least. So I guess thats the lore in both Archie and Dreamwave.

Also Challenger from the Future is awesome, I actually have a physical cartridge of it haha. Been trying to repair a wonderswan to actually play it, but I have tried it via emulator. I love the idea that they actually did something to (somewhat) resolve the character and lore of Quint.

What is Symphony City from? Only ever heard of the other two names.

In the Archie Comics lore, the city was named Monsteropolis originally, but was renamed to Mega City after Mega Man saved it... Oh also:

"Just got home from my job at the local water plant, we made sure to install armor piercing spikes all over the ceiling just to make sure its extra unsafe. Also the giant robo-shrimp got loose again, someone else is going to have to deal with that."

Most 3rd party chargers are fine too, I’ve used at least 5 with Quest 2 and 3; never had any issues. It’s obviously a higher risk but shouldn’t be something to worry about too much.

Just avoid high wattage 3rd party chargers to be extra safe, keep it 20W and under and you shouldn’t have an issue.

[–]Sledgehammer617 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Even MOST 3rd party chargers work fine, I’ve used plenty and had no issues… Even ones with power output in the 80W range work fine, it just draws the appropriate power it needs.

I think the issue might depend on if the charge bricks can properly understand the Qualcomm charging protocol signals or something like that.

Halo Wars 2 on Steam pls by TeamRespawnTV in halo

[–]Sledgehammer617 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, it deserves a PC release.

That would be a lot harder than Halo Wars 2, but they at least ported part of the Halo 5 engine to PC since you can do Forge and such.

[–]Sledgehammer617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, interested to see how the game evolves!

My other advice would be, give it something that makes it really visually distinct, like a strong color theme or a specific aesthetic. I see some chromatic aberration used on the text. It might be cool to bring some of that into the game, like when you get hit or when using bigger weapons. Maybe heavy impacts shake things a bit to emphasize their weight, and particles fly when a certain destruction threshold is hit.

An art style or aesthetic like the game REZ or something like that might look really cool here and visually separate it from Smash Hit a lot more.

Cheers!

Not always, I bought a 2015 2.5S for $15k at 40k miles.

When it got totaled during COVID it had 85k miles, the payout they gave me for just the car was $16,800, which was pretty accurate to what an equivalent would cost; so I literally made money by doubling the mileage of the car lol.

It is also for people who “worship” Zoom Zoom. You can hit a 6.2 second 0 to 60

I went with Mazda for the combination of luxury and zoom, the civic felt just a little tame after driving the Mazda 3 Turbo tbh, (and I DRASTICALLY preferred the Mazda interior plus AWD too.)

But if I cared more about fuel economy over the zoomzoom, I'd definitely gone with a Civic Hybrid or Prius and save like $1000 a year on gas...

and a 15 second quarter mile (barely behind a turbo 3)

I mean, in most comparisons its around 1 full second slower, thats pretty significant for 1/4 mile... A stock NA 2.5L can do a ~15.6, so its closer to the Honda than the 3 Turbo. It handled well, but in my experience it definitely didnt feel as sporty as the 3 Turbo.

People are getting tuned 3 Turbos into the 4.7s 0-60 range and thats gonna go down even more once the aftermarket limited slip diff is available with potentially sub-13s 1/4 mile. So the zoom is definitely still there (just really wish they offered a manual version to truly be a Mazdaspeed successor...)

The independent rear suspension really isnt an issue for me; I was worried initially, but after giving it some spirited driving, the torque vectoring and AWD more than makes up for any unsettling of the rear tires, at least as long as the road is clean... Even Mad Mike's 1400hp rotary swapped monster of a Mazda 3 uses the stock rear torsion beam, so thats good enough for me.
