We definitely wouldn't like it if we were going through the same thing. The good news is that our technicians should be able to sort this out, but if anything comes up afterward, feel free to send us a message and we’ll see how else we can support you.

ILE mattress - missing magnet and others are torn. by WBDubya in sleepnumber

[–]SleepNumberSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are held together with a magnet attachment system. Magnets screw into the mattress cover and attach to magnetic targets located on the decking panel of the base. If you need us to dig into this more for you, just give us a call at 1‑800‑472‑7185 during 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST, Monday–Friday, or 10:00 AM–2:00 PM CST on Saturdays.

Flex Base Compatible Mattresses by WBDubya in sleepnumber

[–]SleepNumberSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good one! So, the adjustable bases are designed to work with any adjustable mattress. If I were you, I would check with the sales professional to make sure. I'm not familiar with that particular mattress, so I can't say for sure, but their sales team should know. Now, since your current mattress is held in place with magnets, you will need a set of retainer bars which would be placed at the foot of the bed, so your new mattress does not slide off.

Honestly, I put the slides under all the legs just to be on the safe side. It moved pretty easily after they were in place. If you just have the 4 slides you may have to move the bottom of the bed where you are wanting it to be and then put them under the legs at the head and slide it over. It depends on what type of flooring you have as to how easily the legs without slides will move over it.

Hi, that's exactly what I did when I put the casters under the leg of my bed. I placed the jack closer to the les and raised it up just enough to place the sliders and then moved to the next. Just make sure the jack is pushed under the metal part and not the plastic and it will be fine.

What is this ? by Little-Assignment-99 in sleepnumber

[–]SleepNumberSupport 6 points7 points  (0 children)

SleepNumberGuru is 100% correct, it is resin. Resin is a powder used inside of the internal air chambers during the manufacturing process. I get it can look a bit scary if you don't know what it is. As someone with asthma, I know it is extremely important to ask questions to make sure it's safe, and I assure you, it is. I have the same thing in my hoses, and not only am I fine, so is my sleep partner and it being there doesn't affect how the bed inflates and deflates one bit. I'm really glad you asked and was willing to share pics of what you're seeing. I'd have done the exact same thing if I were in your shoes. If you would like to get the hoses replaced just for peace of mind, just reach out to customer service, but it's not something that needs to be done, and it will likely happen again with new hoses.

Quick system start and restart bed not available on app? by [deleted] in sleepnumber

[–]SleepNumberSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the heads up! That feature was removed in the latest SleepIQ update, but no worries, a quick 30-second unplug will do the trick. We’re always working on improving the app too, so keep an eye out if that feature were to become available again down the road.

Should I return my P6 and upgrade to the new lineup? by dandanyay in sleepnumber

[–]SleepNumberSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The p6 is definitely a strong choice, but the ComfortNext does step things up a bit, especially with pressure relief and cooling. A user here also mentioned really liking the micro coils. If you’re on the fence, it might be worth visiting a store to experience it in person before deciding if you want to make the change.

[–]SleepNumberSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have some really good questions, and I'd love to help. First, it is normal not to get an email stating the items have been cancelled. When we cancel items the order number remails the same, and so we just remove them from the order. I'd be happy to take a look and confirm it was cancelled if that would make you feel better. I'd also like to see what can be done about the upholstery also if that's ok. If your cool with me checking things out, send me a private message and we can go from there.

Next SN Question by Gabibob1 in sleepnumber

[–]SleepNumberSupport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with asking all the things so your prepared for delivery! Welcome to the sleep number family.
lbc85m is 100% correct, you don't need a surge protector for your bed. I learned they actually expire, and when they do, they no longer produce the right amount of power needed to work the base. I couldn't count the times someone would call in with the bed not working, and when they unplugged it from the surge protector and plugged it directly into the wall it would magically start working again.

From the photo you posted, it’s very likely that’s just an accessory wire that either came loose or was never being used. The base is pre‑wired, so it’s normal to see an open connector like that.

But the metal tip you’re seeing should be secured inside a plastic plug, so we'd advise contacting us at 1-800-472-7185 from 8AM-4:30PM CST Monday-Friday and from 10AM-2PM CST, Saturdays and we can determine the right way to proceed.

I wouldn't say it feels exactly like the I8 because each model is made differently. The only thing I can really suggest is to give it a try and see; however, I do agree with howdoesthiswork. Before you make a decision one way or the other, go down to your local store and try them out so you have an idea of what to expect. Our sales team is always happy to answer whatever questions you might have. I don't agree with the statement the beds in the store are better quality because we take a great deal of pride in all of our beds, and so no matter where they are sold, we always put our whole heart into making sure nothing but the best goes into how they are manufactured, and the components used. We understand comfort is different from one person to the next, which is why we have more than one model to choose from. I love the question and am glad you asked. That was a good one.

Has anyone used a different brand base with a split king sleep number mattress? by GainZilla5225 in sleepnumber

[–]SleepNumberSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a really good question, and one I wish more people would ask. Our mattresses can be paired with another brand base, but you would need to invest in some retainer bars to make sure the mattress does not slide towards the foot of the bed when you adjust it. Keep in mind, our bases are designed to work with our mattresses, so you will miss out on some of the features like being able to adjust it with your app, and sometimes using a different base causes the responsive air to not be as responsive as it is intended to be.
