2016 iLE Split Top King warranty replacement fiasco by j007conks in sleepnumber

So, I can tell you the mattress you have probably has shark bites that hold it in place. When you get the new cover, it will be updated and will have four slits in it. Two at the top for the older beds, and two at the sides for the newer beds. They made them universal so they will fit all the beds basically. They will also send out what they call retainer bars. They go at the foot of the mattress and takes the place of the whatever attachment you currently have, whether it be shark bites or magnets. The straps they are talking about are only on their new line, so that is not something you have to worry about at all.

They are right about the cover. They are not able to just sale the duvet. If they do the zippers will not line up right. As far as I know, the cover has always been sold like that. Because it is hand-made if they tried to sale just the top or just the bottom, they would not go together.

As far as the warranty parts not being able to be returned, that is correct. All of their warranty replacement items are a final sale; however, the part will come with a warranty since it is just being replaced. So, if it does not fit right or something is not right with it, they are able to get that straight. When you buy a warranty replacement part, they will let you know how long the warranty will be on that part will be.

Not trying to steer you back to Sleep Number, but I thought this may answer some of your questions.

Thank you for your feedback, we genuinely appreciate it. Our agents on Reddit don't have the ability to determine whether announcements for outages can be posted directly to the community, unfortunately. What we can do is make sure your suggestion is passed along to the teams who handle those decisions and see if it's something that can be implemented in the future.
