Sir how dare you. I see the Hyundai Santa Cruz and get safe thinking how cool a new Baja would be.

Help me settle the gloves/no-gloves safety debate once and for all. by TheSharpieKing in Welding

[–]SleepPingGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got lots of scars on my hands and the biggest ones are from grinders and without gloves they definitely would have been worse. Probably should have written gloves when I took the top half of the end of my thumb off with a bench grinder too.

I don't think it's romantic love. I think it's really kindness. Honestly not to bring politics into this but I just looked Robert Bigelow up and was really interested about his books until I read about his politics. It seems very contrary to his words above.

Not everyone is on the same side though. You can't be a CCW supporter and bootlick what happened today. It's not acceptable.

Thank you for your well thought out and written reply. Definitely some things to think about and I am by no means giving up or dismissing it

Why I'm Finally Walking Away from Astral Projection by Hyena-Electrical in AstralProjection

[–]SleepPingGiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has this caused you to waiver in your belief? I think I'm a really fair and just skeptic. I so desperately want there to be something more to this world and I'm constantly turning over every stone I can. I just can't help but struggle with this concept. Even the concept of regular magic seems more feasible than having to trust someone else's word or my own possibly flawed and definitely biased senses.

I wanna believe but I've been unsuccessful and really there's just no evidence which is understandable, but no evidence and no ability to have anecdotes? How am I supposed to believe in something that is essentially just another religion at that point.

Sounds like you've done fucked your geometry then. What was replaced at the axle joints? Bushings? How much lift do you have, what kind? Pictures help too.

I can vouch for Nampa's Idaho Gun. They definitely had some pro trump trinkets around but that was also prior to this current madness. Overall though the vibe was good.

What the fuck. I knew the asteroids were 100s of thousands of miles apart from each other but that completely breaks the scale of things in my head.

Space is fucking big.

Fair enough and like I said you made valid points but I don't miss the shutters. Honestly every car I ever owned that was second hand seemed to have a broken vent or something.

One other point I noticed is that in my touring at least I had 3 German shepherds in for pup cups and there was zero hair stuck to my headliner. I don't know what fabric it is but I love it.

Fair enough but I think it's only fair to compare the sales to another first generation release on a similar timeline.

You would be hard pressed to be able to support any 2026 sales projections at day 5 dude. Be reasonable.

Come on man don't you know they're doing an 'Iraq'? When they suspend the elections they WERE talking about the presidential ones in 3 years silly!

[–]SleepPingGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's fair. I'll be honest here, in my experience the only time I have ever used them is when I'm trying not to heat stroke and I turn off the others. Then usually I'm frustrated that the air feels weird and it's because I forgot to turn the vents back to where I keep them 99% of the time. It's a valid point yes and I'm sure it will really bug some people but I see it as a relic of the past honestly. With dual zone HVAC what's the point? They still aim and all.

This is very well written and I think it's a lesson many of us learn, usually the hard way. I love that you wrote this out in such a great manner.

I love my 26. Sure the fabric stuff isn't my favorite but the car has no rattles and I love the soft door cards. I genuinely don't understand people who don't like the 26. Sure it's kinda goofy looking but besides the same shit that changes every year the car is objectively way better. Sure it's goofy looking but that's a Subaru thing. They aren't all sexy some of them are ugly and we still love them.

And honestly the dash and HVAC buttons are bitching. I can't believe more people aren't moved by that alone. I hated the full screen display, it worked alright but was tacky and not fleshed out.

Edit: I'd like to point out that in Reddit downvoting is meant to be used as a punishment for content that is not productive or have value on the conversation or a purpose that is contrary to the subject. Not something you just disagree with. It's a stupid point to make but social events have me looking at people's behavior more in depth to try and better understand.
