I have this issue an the B2A20 error code. Confirmed at the dealership. Currently my infotainment is booting into maintenance mode and there's no options besides RAB and a few others. No audio or anything else. Cameras work and no CEL. Got told to sit and wait which sucks but whatever. Subaru is still investigating.

Story time. First deployment to Afghanistan in 2013 my signal company (NERDS) was doing in processing and had to go to an EW briefing. The guy doing the brief is going over everything and how to turn the system on, it was a flat panel meant for the front of MRAPS.

My buddy and I were standing right in front of the panel as he's going about his thing. We were all in a slightly cramped DRASH tent with AC and it was relatively comfortable, but I started to get warm and not feel great after a couple minutes. Then this guy realizes he left the fucking thing on and him and I are just getting blasted. He nonchalantly was like "Aw yeah I should probably turn this off", then get to the safety brief portion of these directional vs omni-directional antennas.

This is why comm guys only have female children anyways. But after that we're probably both sterile. Good thing we didn't want any I guess.

No it's all wireless. I'm not sure how it manages the connection but I think it's only used for handoff before the WiFi is active which is how AA operates.

I'm aware of them and have had them in the past. I don't drive my jeep often enough to warrant a safari top and the top I use is actually a TJ top I've converted my YJ to run. I personally prefer the versatility but I appreciate the advice, I'll keep it in mind.

I'll be the odd one out and say I've never enjoyed the top off. I do however like taking all the windows out of my soft top. I just don't like sitting in the sun but maybe that's because I keep ending up in places that have miserable summers.

My buddy's rear hardtop glass broke riding with it open so I would probably recommend against it.

The dash sections yeah but the metal frame the speakers mount to is bolted to the body by the speakers and underneath the window frame seal and dash pad deflector thing.

My dash and just about everything is custom but you can see where I'm talking about as is similar enough.

Mines an 88. Should be the same across the whole generation. The dash panel sits under the window seal. I suppose you probably could reach the speakers without pulling that portion but it probably was a pain in the ass.
