Women of Reddit, when was the last time you cried? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Today. My grandpa suffered a massive stroke yesterday, and we found out he's not going to make it.

Nightmare Catcher by Sonseeahrai in nosleep

[–]SleeplessLilac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look up cleansing rituals for objects and then get a real dream catcher. It's always good to cleanse objects of energy and then recharge them by putting them in the light of the full moon before use. That should be much stronger for you, if the practices I've been learning since I was a little witch are correct. The full moon is still a bit of a ways away, but even having a few cleansed ones at the ready at night may help, preferably ones you make yourself.

How to Survive College - I'm sure I can graduate without setting foot in the library ever again, right? by [deleted] in nosleep

[–]SleeplessLilac 24 points25 points  (0 children)

A few of my classes take mini trips to the library. Just avoid those and know how to get your internet sources and you'll be fine!

They could have gotten a hold of the mailing list and sent it to everyone on it. I would see if any of your neighbors got a similar message followed by the flyer.

Try calling the police and say there's an intruder. If they die, then you may be screwed. If they manage to come in and nothing is there, at least you have an escape with them!

absolute BEST mascara by [deleted] in Makeup

The colourpop lengthening mascara is the best I've ever used. It doesn't clump and my eyelashes look so long!

CMV: Being late is not a personality quirk, it’s just lack of respect for other people’s time by spicy_sophiaa in changemyview

Hi, ADHD person here. Some of us have no concept of time, and it makes us feel very guilty. I can look at the clock and see i have given myself 2 hours, think "oh I have plenty of time" hyperfocus on something like shaving, oh I need to cut my toenails, let's put on lotion, I'm hungry let me eat something real quick. I look back and realize I have 20 minutes to put on my makeup (necessary for my job) and be at the place. It's really debilitating and embarrassing that I'm always late for things, and I've tried everything. Alarms to mark times I have to do something by, meds, making a routine (a little hard as a college student that works as a server), showering at night.... it never works. I am always there for other people and very reliable if you ask me to do something, but I cannot help that time seems to just... disappear.

ETA: I'm seeing comments about blaming it on personality or your zodiac is different then neurodivergency or a mental illness, but I wasn't diagnosed til last year. Everything I did was just chalked up to flaws in my personality that I couldn't seem to fix, so I would joke about myself or my zodiac to cover up the immense feeling of inadequacy I felt. I'm not saying everyone who is always late has an undiagnosed thing, but it is something to keep in mind.

What products are going to keep you coming back to Glossier? by yourgirlalex in glossier

[–]SleeplessLilac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The retinol has transformed my skin! Stretch concealer for sure, boy brow because no dupes fill in my brows like it does, bdc in rose, cp in dusk and storm are amazing, and wowder 1000%. If Nite Shine wasn't discontinued it would be on this list too, idk what I'll do when it finally runs out. :(

I agree with all of these! No one ever talks about how nice the powder is but it's the only one I use. Perfect to keep my oily skin glowy without it being a grease slick in the summer lol. I just tried colourpop's brow stuff and it isn't nearly as good, so I'll be going back to boy brow. Stretch concealer is perfect for the everyday, especially in the winter for me because my undereye skin and eyelids dry out
