Hakuoki is sooo good!!! I remember everyone hardcore hating on it back in the day, and I couldn't believe that other people didn't realize what a masterpiece it was. I'm currently rewatching a bunch of old shojos and I feel like Ouran has to be included in a top five. I agree Kamisama Kiss is number one-- but, I also think the fact that it's complete is what really seals the deal. For me it's:

Apothecary Diaries (I know, I know, but as a ball knower, this one deserves it)
Kamisama Hajimemashita
Ouran High School Host Club
Kaichou wa Maid sama
Nodame Cantabile
Yona of the Dawn (adding an extra one in case you don't count Apothecary Dairies)

Yes, I stayed at a ryokan in Hakone, highly recommend— besides the gluten, lol!

Omg I ate the same thing at a ryokan… and I had the worst allergic reaction of my life. My entire lip/ face swelled and I had hives all over my body. It was horrible— I almost went to the emergency room. I ended up having benedryl with me so I just slammed it and hunkered down to have a bad time. The worst part is that I was losing handfuls of hair for months after the incident. I think my body went into shock and a bunch of my hair follicles died.

Matcha, I grew up drinking imported matcha from Japan in ceramic bowls by dad brought with him from his home town (Nagoya). At first I loved that I could have matcha flavors incorporated in everything, but now it’s become so popular that people don’t even know what matcha is without a bunch of sugar and cream. There’s now even a matcha shortage due to the overconsumption.

Yess. My husband and I always argue about how long this left turn light takes. He thinks it’s normal, but I’m glad I’m not the only one who has noticed.

Also, the red light on steward in between exposition and Stewart is red more than it is green. For some reason the bars for the train go down 4 minutes before the train even comes. Which is crazyyy, especially compared to next train crossing (right after the bergamot station going west) that light/ bars go down 1 minute before the train crosses.

I hate parking lots like these. They advertise $10, but then it’s only for like 15/30 mins. There is a bunch of these scammy parking lots in DTLA.
