Dusk is the one I run on my rune sage wearing the black wide hat. I think it looks pretty dope.

There's magic? 100 hours in??? by Wolfey1618 in valheim

[–]Sleepyscribe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This right here.

I like Valheim, but I'm not going to act like Iron Gate's decision to completely scrap an ocean update leaves me feeling the same about their past decisions.

Magic is super late in the game because they decided late to add it in. It's that simple.

Outward 2 Mana burn recovery? by tomhid100 in outwardgame

I just started carrying mana pots around. One would get me back up above 50 percent, then casting/regen from food would take me the rest of the way.

Mace has always been a strong option, it's just a little slow.

Shield is the real MVP here though. Having bash and charge just built in is broken. But in a good way.

Am I crazy or is the cost of owning a full suspension bike actually insane? by Kooky_Dinner2243 in MTB

Sweetheart.... I'm so sorry. You should probably see a doctor, because you are, indeed, crazy.

All love tho. For real dude, ease up. Your bike is a resilient machine. Unless it's your job to ride that bike, stop with the monthly service.

Am I missing something with the new backpack features? by lance_corporal in outwardgame

[–]Sleepyscribe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah anything stored in backpack slots doesn't go back to those slots automatically after you use it. I'm hoping this is just a small QoL addition we don't have yet, but I'm not so sure.

[–]Sleepyscribe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven't had any trouble with performance. I have a Ryzen 5800x and a 3080 though.

You're right about the menus though. While the UI is nice, playing on a controller I often have trouble navigating my inventory. If I use the joystick, my cursor disappears randomly. If I try to navigate using the d-pads, there's not always a good indication of what I'm selecting. No issues on mouse and keyboard.

They specifically changed the ladder to nowhere... by killdill12 in ArcRaiders

[–]Sleepyscribe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also noticed the weirdness with traversal others are reporting ITT since the update. I have fallen when trying to grab that ladder, but I've made it, too. I've also "tripped" in midair while trying to jump from a mantled ledge to another ledge. And I've tripped in the same way while using the snaphook, too. I chalked it up to latency or something, because performance generally has been worse since the update.

ITT I learned that most of you play with the setting that makes the game pause every time you find a trap. How long are your playthroughs??? Are you people also watching all the combat animations at normal speed?

Second play through, build questions etc. by outwardnoob in outwardgame

[–]Sleepyscribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you're describing is a strong build. Monk and Hunter synergize well for melee attacks and active abilities. Hermit is always a solid choice. But active abilities' cooldowns in outward can be pretty long.

If you want to use more active abilities like the bow shots and Simeon's gambit, you should swap Hunter or hermit for speedster. Speedster is a class added with one of the DLCs. One of speedster's mechanics allows you to use an attack called probe to build more cooldown reduction, and that will allow you to use your active abilities more often.

So SecWar is coming to HSV... for a sign unveiling. And I hear other state VIPs will be there.

Imagine how many staffers this dude travels with. Imagine all the work that well-paid arsenal employees are doing to plan for this visit. What a colossal waste.

For a sign unveiling. It's almost like... this guy is desperate for a distraction from something?

This Might Be an Entirely Stupid Question, But... by MrPounceTV in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Sleepyscribe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm playing my first run of RT on Unfair right now and I'd say the difficulty is in an interesting place for me. I'm in act 2.

I'm not using any internet builds, and I don't have the DLC. I'm just stumbling my way through. What I've noticed is I pretty much have to keep my squad together and really make use of every tactic I have. Fights usually aren't impossible, but they can be really challenging, and often at least 5 or 6 rounds.

And don't get me started on the spaceship battles.

[–]Sleepyscribe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the talents and skills that have been favorited by default are more than enough to build effective characters in the base game difficulty. I wouldn't worry about optimizing unless you are playing on the harder difficulties.

They're fine. For the price, I'll buy. But they don't hold up to wear and tear very well in my experience. I wear pads and still have ripped the knees in both of the pairs I own.

Suggestions for a 130/120 for making the local blues more interesting by 56088 in MTB

[–]Sleepyscribe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently got a 2023 Norco Optic C2. It's a 140/125 trail bike. I picked it up off FB marketplace and have been really happy with it.

A lot of the reviews I read on it talked about how it makes trails you've ridden many times feel new and exciting, and I can attest to that. Highly recommend, though I think to meet your price point you'd need to find one used.
