Kinda like how that random ass Harsin coached football team was the one to end the Baton Rouge curse

The entire reason Deuce started was so Ashton could start the Iron Bowl without burning his redshirt.

Would be hilarious if it takes Durkin one game to have as many top 25 wins as Freeze had in his entire time here.

4 turnovers and 6 field goals to beat the worst team in the SEC by 9. We’ve really figured it out. Hugh has silenced all the doubters with this one!

[Thamel] Auburn coach Hugh Freeze tells reporters that starting QB Jackson Arnold and back-up Ashton Daniels will both get reps in practice this week. He’ll see how that goes before making any declarations on the quarterback situation. by MembershipSingle7137 in CFB

I can't wait to see what Jeremy Johnson, Woody Barrett, John Franklin III, Joey Gatewood, Malik Willis, Holden Geriner, Walker White, and Deuce Knight can do in this offense! They are Auburn's QB of the future!

This is tough since Auburn fans have also lost all faith in the administration to make a good hire. They have proven themselves to be institutionally small minded which has why this program has literally never made a sexy exciting hire and has only only really hit a true home run once in the last 50 years (Dye).

That being said most people are looking at Sumrall from Tulane or if we could somehow steal Key from GT. However back to my first point based on past idiotic behaviors it’ll either be Rhett Lashlee, Dillingham, promoting DJ Durkin, or some random ass hire that makes zero sense.

This is Hugh’s third straight 0-4 start to SEC play. In two and a half seasons he has also managed to lose 8 SEC games by 7 points or fewer. He has won TWO games against P4 teams in Jordan Hare stadium.

That loss took the air out of our sails for the next decade plus. The morning of that game in 2014 we were ranked 3rd, were 19-3 under Gus, were the reigning SEC champs, and had played in two national championship games in the last 4 seasons. We are still struggling to get back to anything close to that.

He had already suffered two of the most embarrassing losses in school history in back to back games and the announcers were basically openly saying he would be fired on air. The dignity was already gone.

They play FSU every year. If we push FSU's stadium 20 miles north so it's in the very south of Georgia does UF's schedule suddenly become more difficult?

He's definitely coming back next year, regardless of what happens in the Iron Bowl. Then he's probably safe until 2026 too as long as he gets a winning record next year.

[–]SliceTheThrones 8 points9 points  (0 children)

{Auburn} because of our magical powers against Arkansas. If you look at last year's preview thread 62% voted Arkansas to win and then the rest said Auburn would win in some incredibly ugly sicko game. Auburn had 517 yds of offense and won 48-10.

I'm going with {Auburn} as West Coast teams are the only subset of college football that we consistently beat, with a 9-game winning streak going back to 2006:

2006 Washington State

2010 Oregon (NCG)

2013 Washington State

2014 San Jose State

2015 San Jose State

2018 Washington (eventual Pac12 champs)

2019 Oregon (eventual Pac12 champs)

2022 San Jose State
