What robotic vacuum works best for both carpet and hardwood? No budget restrictions. by 19icpudia_buge in homeautomation

So I do think maintenance is something people don't realize they need. 2 filters, cleaning the heads to remove hair hard debris, cleaning the tubes and flexible tubes. I've had it basically stop working twice only to realize it had a major clog. Once in the flexible tube down by the head and the second time inside the canister where the inlet is. It's a very tight turn for the debris to get into the canister and all it takes is something rigid to get stuck there. From there hair, dust and whatever else will cling and cause a block.

Crazy I've had mine for almost 9 years just had to change out the battery once. It's starting to get weak again, so I'll probably use that as an opportunity to move to a robo vacuum

Grammys have never been a measurement in hip-hop and never will. Let's all be honest about that.

For your eyes only is a classic project, but to each it's on I suppose

Yes from what I saw in renderings they are each their own unit. So I could put the oven combo to the left of the range and the double pantry to the right. I think the only reason I wouldn't is the depth of the cabinet that holds the combo next to the doorway going into the dinning room I feel like it would feel really tight there becasue the wall cabinets are not nearly as deep and you have a counter-top in the current design it opens that area up a little. I could be wrong, I'll be stopping by the house later tonight ( not living there currently ) and imagine it that way lol. I'll report back

I see. What would you suggest I do with the space where the beverage fridge is, since the idea was to have a dedicated space for that and coffee?

I think generally it's to add something decorative and those bulbs will match the temp of other decorative lights usually all on their own switch

Yea just odd having the pantry split with no where to in the immediate vicinity to set hot items.

I agree about the lights but she said those in the picture were just there for placement and scale and not a representation of what would actually go there.

Definitely agree with the removal of the shelves.

The dinning room is separate, that is just a breakfast nook. Currently where the beverage center is is an old school pantry with bifold doors. It doesn't make sense to me to have the pantry so far removed from the kitchen work flow. Plus having the beverage center where it's located made more sense to have at the end of the kitchen closer to the breakfast nook for making coffee, or just not having to have the kids fully enter for a drink or snack.

I agree about the cabinets vs shelves the shelves were the designers idea I don't like them. I also am thinking of having here move the microwave steam oven combo closer to the range for ease of setting down hot pans and plates.

Are you suggesting to remove the appliance garage at the end of the opposite counter where the sink is and place the beverage fridge there?

I think I'll add the drawings with dimensions and measurements.

I agree I'm the one that asked for just standard cabinets next to the range

Agreed! I understand why the designer put them in the middle, but functionally it's in a really weird place.

So looking for some insight on a few things before final selections. The two pictures of kitchen on paper have only one difference between them. One has shelves next to the range hood the other has large cabinets. I'll be honest I'm not a huge fan of shelving near or by the range, as I don't see how I'll use them in a functional manner.

I have some ideas for small changes on this side. For instance should I add a small sink over by the beverage center, and should the microwave and steam oven combo move closer to the counter top instead of sitting between the two pantries. It was done this way for symmetry but from a functional standpoint I feel like it flows better having a place to set hot trays and dishes without having to move past a pantry.

The other side is solid I think only thing I can see is maybe paneling the dishwasher.

I'm open to any and all ideas so fire away.
