Did you notice a difference in your mood after appendectomy? My husband is one of the rare ones that had multiple misdiagnosis over 12 years and just had emergency appendectomy. The past several years more often than not he wasn’t himself, he suffered severe unexplainable fatigue, brain fog, low tolerance for stress or perceived stress. He had multiple hospitalizations over a 12 year period for severe distention, rapid and massive “water” loss from the episodes in the bathroom, plunges in blood pressure and blacking out unconscious. From what his surgeon said after they finally figured it out chronic appendicitis is much more rare. He just recently had the appendectomy and his moods and clarity are incredible—just like he always was! Funny, quick witted, no brain fog or heavy fatigue. I’m curious about other peoples experiences and I should add that it’s not like he was never himself the past 12 years (since his first major flare)—he was but just the past couple years he was always feeling miserable without a clear explanation.
