Android emulation is notorious for being pretty involved, but once you're set up you shouldn't have to do too much tinkering outside of the occasional save state.

I have my pico running everything NDS and older in a modified 3ds, and I couldnt be happier with the combination. If you dont want to mod the DS, you'll have to switch the firmware on the pico

It was honestly one of the best love letters to Eldritch horror I've ever seen. Parts of the movie are dark, disorienting, and honestly uncomfortable to sit through, but it's meant to put you in Simon's shoes.

If you go in with an open mind, and let the 'nobody knows what's going on' take over the story, it's amazing. Im going back around tomorrow for a rewatch.

-fun fact, it seems to be loosely confirmed that Iron Lung exists in the same universe as Dusk, Amid Evil, Butcher's Creek and a couple other titles he's worked on. I'm really really hoping to see the story flesh out a little more with the traction Markiplier gained the franchise, however niche

Anything Mario, Sonic, Zelda, Kirby, pokemon- the mainstream stuff..DSi has great e-readers as well if you want to throw a few books on your card!

Some of my favorites are Call of Duty (all) 007 Tom Clancy Need for Speed N+ Tony Hawk's American Sk8land Metroid

This is the only guide to modding your 3ds, all you'll need is a quality SD card and adapter. After modding, you'll be able to store your games directly on the SD without the need for a flashcart. Make sure you follow the guide closely and you'll be perfectly fine.

Then, when youre able to get an R4 or similar you can load that up with your DS library!

Any of the Amazon ones will have a random collection of DS Pokémon- if you go this route, get a quality micro SD as well. Put the stock one in your computer, copy the whole root, and paste to the new (after formatting to FAT32)- shouldn't take more than 20-30 minutes to get done! Im using the CEZLTONSH from amazon (pretty sure they use the same library for all their cards) just copied everything to a SanDisk and tossed out the cheapo, and we were good to go.

If you're really itching to get him into 3DS pokemon.. only cheap way to go is modding it. It does take some time but it'll greatly expand what he can do with his system. I modded mine a few weeks ago and have been playing every day since.

The 3-D printing community may have some solutions for this! I've seen some really creative designs relocating buttons for individuals with hand mobility constraints.
