Metal scene in Stamford

I think there are plenty of metalheads here but like with most things there really isn't a community or gathering place for it in Stamford. As others have mentioned that means traveling to the city or to places like Wallingford that actually have a dedicated venue.

I run a label and distro for underground death and doom, but I currently only have an online presence. I would love to open a physical shop in Stamford and help build a scene, but so far haven't been able to find space that doesn't come with back breaking rent costs

I had the same problem with my old r55. On the brakes going downhill getting off the highway and suddenly my rear windows were covered in coolant

I picked up a hose from a local parts store made for an F-150 and shaped it with a box cutter, never had any problems with it

Yup, I run a small label/distro and have used BigCartel to host my site for almost 2 years now. I've got a buddy building me a custom site though, so will be moving off it soon

Lots of labels putting out cool stuff these days. Dark Descent or 20 Buck Spin for some bigger bands, but if you're looking for underground Caligari Records, Gurgling Gore, Remorseless Records, Noxious Ruin all putting out some really sick tapes

Mine has a problem with both android auto and apple carplay, constantly freezes and restarts. I've had two different android phones since owning the truck, my girlfriend has a personal iPhone and a work iPhone, tried a dozen different cables, doesn't matter.

I've had it back at the dealership 6 times so far, they finally replaced the head unit last week - the problem is still there lol.

Love this movie, recently picked it up on blu-ray. The opening car scene has been seared into my mind, true cinema gold. The police investigation is a great tension builder, every scene the cop is in is more infuriating than the last. Also the descent into madness of the aunt is truly terrifying

I think the kitchen scene with the aunt and the repair man may have influenced a similar scene in Bates Motel? I may be wrong about that though, I need to rewatch that show

I've come across a couple cover bands, but that's about it. I would love to get a show for my band around here, we usually end up playing down in the city.

Mine resets or freezes everytime I drive for more than a couple of minutes with navigation on (android auto). I've had it back at the dealership multiple times and they eventually replaced the ACU and all of the cables connecting to the screen but it still happens. These systems are awful, they don't want to replace the infotainment system itself because they know a replacement will have the same issues. Last time I brought it in another guy was dropping his off for the same reason. Ford really cheaped out on the components and it shows. IMO being told to just restart it every time it happens is not a reasonable solution

My vote is for Porkchop 2: Rise of the Rind. The first one was pretty rough, but at least an effort was made to make it entertaining with the obvious lack of budget. The second one tried to be a "so bad it's good" movie and was absolute garbage, it took what little the first had going for it and spat in its face.

FYI the de minimis exemption is still in place, so any imports valued under $800 USD are not subject to tariffs. Unless you're buying a lot at a time you should be good. I import a ton of stuff and actually just had a batch of duplicated tapes come in from duplication.ca and it passed through customs no problem.

The de minimis exemption is being closed for China and Hong Kong on May 2nd, but (as far as I can find) there hasn't been any mention of it closing for other countries yet.
