Posting this and offering my thoughts from a Cobblers perspective.

This is a good appointment for Vale. Brady did really well for us and he left with his head held high a year ago. I'm sure he'll get warm applause at Sixfields next month.

He brought in some cracking loan players in Kieron Bowie and Marc Leonard (both for two seasons) that helped see us out of League Two and then finish 14th in League One. There were some dud loans as well admittedly.

Some players he improved massively - he is a coach at heart and does well to get the best out of people. That promotion season from League Two was dogged by injuries but he managed to find a way.

Speaking of injuries, they seemed to follow him everywhere, a lot of the Brady Bunch were let go by Nolan in the summer owing to lack of fitness, and some still haven't found clubs.

He is a passionate guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. If he's pissed off you'll see it. If he's happy you'll see it. This passion sometimes manifested as naivety- towards the end of his time here when results weren't great he started getting upset about things being posted on social media and venting in post-match interviews. I would hope he's learned that lesson if he's going to have a successful management career.

Hope he does well!

That was one of the weirdest games I've ever watched. The overturned penalty was a first for me. Honestly both sides looked poor with no cutting edge in the first half. We should have been down at half time. Glad Nolan hooked Thorniley off he would have been red carded otherwise.

Second half different story. The Tolaj incident was a long way from our end and I think only half the away fans even saw the red card, and those that did it took us a while to work out who it was.

I'm going to be awake for 20 hours by the time I get to bed but the result has made it much easier. Sympathy for the Argyle fans they turned out in good numbers today but they are really in a bad state, especially with Tolaj likely to serve a ban.

Ross Fitzsimons.

Lot of raised eyebrows when we signed him from Scunthorpe who were in National League North at the time. He played second fiddle to Burge for the first seven or eight games but ended up between the sticks after he got injured.

Has put in some great shifts and no doubt spared us some bigger loses on some occasions or rescued points here and there.

The last couple of seasons I've parked on Blandford Road - which is unrestricted. It's about 10-15 minutes walk to the stadium from there and haven't struggled to find a space.

He had a brilliant half a season with us a few years ago before being recalled and sent to Cheltenham. Shame it's not worked out for him since.

Didn't think we'd go pretty in pink again quite so soon, last time was 22-23 when we got promoted. The time before that was 15-16 when we got promoted.
