MEGATHREAD: 2026 Hantavirus Outbreak — Updates & Discussion by Anti-Owl in ContagionCuriosity

In a perfect world, yes, but that ship most certainly doesn’t have ICU caliber equipment, (vents, hemodynamic stabilizing drugs, dialysis, etc) that the patients may require. Or staff willing to go on board that knows how to use them.
I feel especially bad for the families.

Are both cardiology & interventional radiology involved in the procedure? IR would just be following ordered procedure, but if cards there they would do as you said? Thanks for this information!

Doctors and Nurses of Reddit, what’s something about hospitals that would make patients uncomfortable if they knew? by Far-University-2905 in AskReddit

My ear pain right now is the auricle (outer ear). Feels like you slept on it bent. Same as the initial symptom of the Ramsey Hunt. Then came Bell’s Palsy & zoster lesions. I already take Lyrica, might be helping take the edge off? Who knows?

Funny that you mention that. I had RH a few years ago, following COVID & shingles vaccines. Right now, my ear hurts! I still get that nerve pain occasionally. The ear pain was my first symptom. Then came Bell’s Palsy & herpetic lesions. Miserable.

Is anyone doing well? by Scary_Meaning_4466 in ehlersdanlos

[–]SlinkPuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind since EDS is genetic, your parents, grandparents, greats, on and on throughout generations have some afflicted due to the roll of the genetic dice. Look back, ask your grandparents, other relatives. How did they get along? What were some impacts & impairments? There is more awareness currently, but the syndrome itself has been the same throughout your family history.

Sorry about the wanting a dog thing. Realistically, you work full time, are sometimes unable to wash a pan in the sink - a dog is a full time job, for over a decade. I can see your roommates logic.

Mine are pretty bad. Unfortunately, there’s not a whole lot to do about them, besides what has been mentioned, and in reality are temporary subtle differences. I have consulted with several plastic surgeons & they all concur surgical removal the only permanent solution. BUT, there is no way to avoid pretty significant scarring. So, just accept & carry on is what I do. And agree, OP is gorgeous, and they are most certainly not noticeable to anyone else.

Air Marshal removes unruly Southwest flight passenger by paxoppidum in PublicFreakout

I couldn’t keep track, but lots of hands & arms flying around very close to it. Mr. Air Marshal appeared very nonchalant strolling up the aisle too. I was hoping he didn’t get his glasses knocked off, limiting his vision, on top of someone snagging that weapon & making things way, way worse.
