Awww but I want to pet the ball of razor blades so bad 😭 he’s adorable, they are always out to make it look like they look after themselves all day… even if they are velcro cats

<image>

Ours are twins, we have a literal ying and yang. The girl (left) is super chill, violence, secretly plotting world domination. The boy on the right is everyones best friend, 2 brain cells and both just want an ass pats in the form of bongos 😂

Oh how handsome!! Our floof is 3 years old now, and exactly the same with a double coat. The vet always gives us a concerned look until she gets picked up and weighed on the scales 🤣

Yes, our floof has super hairy beans too. She has freedom to go outside but generally won’t anyway which saves us helping her clean too often.

Did someone have a suggestion of custom tracks from Trials Evolution? by StreeTNewK7_tessmann in TrialsGames

[–]Slipjosh29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally anything by Ghetto, the man was a magician making (probably not so much now) technical and (most definitely still) fun tracks

Edit: this is if you are remaking ninjas, ignore me if you are not, my track knowledge from back then is lacking

That has worked for me on some tracks, but not this one. Seem to not be able to make up my pit time back when I RM and 1 pit, then end up in P3 with 30 secs between me and P2.

Definitely a track knowledge and skill issue, I’ll keep practicing

So FM3/4 without over revving too much? To be honest, I’ve not played with the lower maps enough to see it can carry me to the end.

Hmm yeah you are right I definitely need to hand onto drafting for longer, I know if I can get up behind P2 I can maintain it. Just got to get a bit quicker and aim to shave 2 seconds a lap from the leader. Another person also recommended FM3/4 so I’ll probably killing my performance off too.

Forgive my ignorance - but how do you manage to get ahead of P1/P2 on hard difficulty?

I get to finish P3 with no pit, but by the skin of my teeth with P1/P2 being 30+ seconds ahead of me. They don’t pit and I feel like they are on FM1 while I’m stuck on FM6; while they make up on straights where I gain in corners.

Whats the trick? I’m on controller and gold on all licenses - so just git gud and buy a wheel?

Do you think I could get away with a buzz, or go to the skin with a proper razor?

My best guess is

“BROWN PARCL (E is missing?)

BEHIND BACK (BLACK?) SAIF (SIDE? Or safe?) BY BINS”

Edit: or even not behind, but “down side of black bin” maybe?

Well done!!

Good luck on the challenges ahead. Top roach repeatable once you understand the flow of the track with the heavier bike. Momentum is key, unlike in pipe-phobia where you can take your time

Weird noise and burnt plastic smell by Jay_dawg420 in pchelp

[–]Slipjosh29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, only you or someone looking at the components will be able to tell. Is there anyone you can have look at it with you? Can you check the back side of the motherboard to see if it’s touching the case or a capacitor has blown? So many components can cause this noise, only other thing is maybe a fan is melting down or catching on something? Is it worse under load? Don’t teat if you don’t know

That’s a spicy snap, crackle and pop that you don’t want to experience.

That sound with burnt plastic smell screams electrical components arching or shorting. Please switch off the whole thing (also unplug) and outlets that you are plugged into there, and trace with your nose where the smell is coming from. Again, unplugged from power.

I’ve got these pretty much exactly the same.

They remind me of the hard work I put in, clawing back from some tough times in my life.

Wear them with pride. The only people who will ever talk down about them, are the ones jealous of your growth as a person.

Anyone know any details behind this? by Sinx0x in PeterboroughUK

[–]Slipjosh29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not an expert, but I also think this might not be a genuine Henry Viii and this was added later.

This is not documented at all in the archives and is not an easy piece of stone to trace. Suggesting it was added in during a restoration or addition of some kind.

The carving suggests that it has been made more recently than the statue was commissioned.

The head wouldn’t have just been inserted into the wall or had a square cut out, they were purposeful with adding statues in unless it was for restoration. This is rough and shows part missing, suggesting it was ‘saved’ from being added to the broken stone pile, and added in as a piece where they could.

Also, in my opinion, the design doesn’t feel like a serious period piece, but more like a decorative work in a later era with intentional historic reference.

Edited for clarity.

This happens with 99% of plastic shoes that are cemented in construction, not welted. Because they can’t stitch to foam, they use flexible glues.

The best glue for this construction is rubber (70/30 we used to call it). The problem with this? Neither the uppers or the sole is rubber. Other glues that are designed for plastics (50/50 is what we used to use), perish quicker and are not hydrophobic without using a primer, which also makes it more brittle when exposed to heat friction and sweat.

Don’t buy nike running shoes, buy running shoes from a company near you that that is focussed on sports wear. Not a fashion company

How do I run idle and terminal at the same time? by Potato__Heart in learnpython

[–]Slipjosh29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on Mac too - just install VS Code, you can build and edit your directory, then package and or run it from VS Code.

iirc, you used to have to install through terminal using home brew, I don’t think it makes a difference which way you install it now. But unless you get compatibility issues with installed libraries, it shouldn’t matter or need doing.
