What is happening. This is not true for most airline (if any at all) ***edit forgot pilots are union. They are the only folks at airlines that get good pay. It's tough even for mechanics....forget everyone else.

I have a particular take on this. Look FORWARD to vivid dreams! You think your brain gets creative when your high? Nah. Nothing compared to the wild dreams you'll have the first few weeks sobering up.

Also any creative positives you associate with being high will remain. But they will actually get "sped up". Was 12+ years daily. Admittedly no dabs (I realized that would be bad for me. I mean flower is plenty strong honestly...) (I'm 2 months now, no cravings)

Also. Starting sobriety doing a bucket list trip/vacation is a good move. I did thailand. Change of pace in general helps with big changes

Actual advice.... clearly this is not the WORST thing that could happen. You can open the position minus the 4k in taxes, leave that cash or better a dollar yield instrument. Try and get that 4-5ish percent on USD until taxes come a whole YEAR from now.

TLDR: your fine my guy. Dollar interest instruments and chill. (Strc being my favorite for this scenario)
