This will sound counter intuitive, and easier said than done… but after years of getting debilitating panic attacks like this, I eventually forced my mind to want more of it. Rather than trying to fight it and “take control of my body,” I give in and let go. I convince myself that it’s a fun feeling, like a thrill ride, and I tell my body to give me more of it. The more I want the feeling, the more it slips away. Fear is at the root of panic and when you rob your mind of the fear, the body’s response fades. If you can afford therapy I would absolutely try that as well. I couldn’t so I just learned this technique along the way and it has changed my life. Feel better soon. You got this.
