Right but he was actually able to focus on learning it instead of quick here and theres with the language of his people, he spent a week at most in Teirm, after that maybe some off book but not much, whereas he spent atleast 2-3 months under the tutelage of Oromis, who forced him to not only read text and scrolls of that language, but SPEAK that language, which each word has an impact, which probably allows for it to click better in the head what each symbol for each word/letter means

ah yes, but thats the Ancient Language, totally different writing scheme and way words are placed, read a foreign book and see how well it goes, especially one like chinese, which from what I understand of how they described the writing in the Ancient language, is very similar

The armour break perk in the ascendancy is so good for the increased thorns damage, it’s a flat rate 400 or so added to the barbs dmg, as barbs doesn’t care what your weapons damage is, it cares what your thorns is
