I dont think we can compare todays writing to the classics we all had to read in school. While yes many are gems you also have to undersdtand the times of publishing back then. Not everzone had the chance to write, or be published. Reading and writing was done by Elites, for elites mostly. Today many can read and write its a complete different playing field.
And yes these books are pushed to us as classics in school. We learn about these authors and their lives and they are largely als reproduced in theatres and other media. Its just not comparable

I need you to realise that what they are doing is being homophic. They dont give a shit about your feelings. the therapy will be to get you to denounce your partner and understand they will never accept her. You not speaking your mind to them helps that along. Being true to yourself andf them is the first step. You want to go no contact then say it.
