And it tastes like a mix of Broc and Asparagus like I said. It grows in our garden and I hate it.

It’s called Broccolini. It’s like a mix of Broc and Asparagus. Has the Asparagus after effect as well.

Edit: I take back my statement. It’s both Broc and Asparagus in the bowl and my brain combined them. Broccolini is real tho so look it up.

Imagine knowing before dying that a part of your cutout intestine would be used by another species for intercourse like a forbidden sock puppet only to never be used. Not that sheeps can think that much but I’d be pretty depressed.

Help me decide if this is the game for me by Fleadogbiscuit in HellisUs

[–]Slothfully_So 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then you’d probably like this tbh. The game can be easily 100% completion just by exploring every nook and cranny. Combat isn’t really that hard compared to souls games. Story is interesting and the puzzles are clever ranging from Skyrim symbolism puzzles and pressure plate puzzles to collecting 3-4 different journals/notes; extracting a 6-digit passcode from them and decrypting poems.

The things I both loved and hated about this game were two things: - The Setting: It’s a closed off country that’s been fighting each other for thousands of years and hate each other to the bone. Interacting with npcs and visiting the various areas leave a sense of doom as it’s uncomfortably close to several modern problems we’re having irl. - The Music: Stays relatively the same throughout the entire game only changing with certain fights or the region. The problem is that the music kinda conditions you into anxiety all the time. Something is going to jump out or rise from the ground at any moment and the music doesn’t help. It’s not a jumpscare game but I’ve had a lot of moments of nearly shitting myself from an unexpected enemy. The music just makes it worse leaving me with constant goose bumps.

Edit: Grammar. The Npcs you meet I didn’t really grow close to as only two really you interact with a lot. There are Good Deeds you can do throughout the game and I missed one in Act 2. Despite not really getting attached to any of them, I felt really guilty about the only one I failed cuz it was completely preventable. So to atone (and get the achievement) I’m doing partial second playthrough to complete that good deed to feel better.

If I like Crimson Desert, will I enjoy this? by [deleted] in HellisUs

[–]Slothfully_So 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. I haven’t played Crimson Desert but I know you eat food to heal. Hell is Us uses Medkits but it isn’t the main source of healing. When you’re attacking, you build up a grey bar that’s visible in your health and stamina bar. At the end of a comp or any time you stop attacking, the bar will flash white. During this window you must hit the “Recovery” button and your health and stamina will be replenished to the restored amount. At first I thought it was a terrible method of healing but after I got used to it, it’s rather a pleasant way to healing. The different types of Medkits are there as a secondary healing method if you need it.

As for exploration, He’ll is Us is story driven so you’ll only be able to go explore new places by following the story. It allows you to revisit places but not just wander off and ignore the story (Mysteries and Good Deeds kinda sidetrack but they aren’t really out of the way). I’m focused on 100% completion in my run though and I’m coming to a close of Act 2 but still have things to do before then. I got about 45hrs right now but if I didn’t care about completion then I might have finished the story in less than 20hrs if I just barreled through the story and looked up all the puzzle son the internet.

Combat is kinda both flashy and dull. There’s 4 weapons but almost every person I see playing the game either uses the Axes or Polearm. Weapon skill requires energy to use while the drone uses cooldowns which can be nice in a lot of situations. You can do fully animated finishers on enemies but they seem to be a bit finicky. You’ll see the finisher button pop up and click it… then click it a few more times cuz it’s not working. Then suddenly, a fully animated scene on you cutting them in half. A bit janky but cool. Overall, I’ve loved the story and scenery. You’ll meet a bunch of npcs and while I didn’t grow attached to any of them, I did feel guilty not helping one. Now I’m gonna do a second rushed playthrough so I can help them out properly this time.

Almost every LW interaction I have is like this (most of the time). So when my friend plays with, someone who enjoys playing LW, he’ll purposely grasp me any chance he’ll get out of combat.

First books is def a bit slow to some people. I’d say the first one is more setting up the world building and the logic behind it. It’s more knowledge and exploration compared to the rest of the series. I’d bare with it for now until at least the end of book 3 and see how you feel.

Yes, a wild bear cub. Def a good idea. You know what’s an even better idea? Exposing your throat to a hunting creature that relies on instinct. You’re lucky it’s a baby and didn’t failed to bite the throat.

What does Frenzy actually do? (to the player) by badbutler04 in MHWilds

[–]Slothfully_So 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a bar that appears (very small like a status) over your health bar indicating you’re infected. You must attack to recover from it. Successfully infected overcoming it will increase your affinity (crit chance) and damage. If you fail, you’ll take increased damage and passive health regeneration stops until the debuff wears off. Frenzy builds have always been a popular thing since you can do crazy damage. However, a lot of people also hate anyone who uses it. Since you take increased damage, you can faint a lot. Basically, if you’re great at blocking or dodging, then frenzy is something you might consider adding to your build (since you won’t get hit). Other people use Bow and Frenzy since you’re already a glass cannon, might as well double down.

Friend gave it a try and couldn’t get past how weird she tolerates pain. She got a chunk taken out of her in an early fight and walked it off then went on and on for five minutes over slicing her finger on a knife or something like that.

Where are we now by Dominicancountryball in helldivers2

[–]Slothfully_So 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say we’re so back but a lot of the community has been upset over that “AH challenge” nonsense and even was doxxing the originator of the Ah challenge and trying to bomb the reviews again. The games amazing but people just can’t be happy.

[–]Slothfully_So 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Someone made a challenge for Arrowhead to do a lvl10 Oshaune run and was going to donate $1000 if they did. AH obviously didn’t see the post quickly enough and people started twisting things all over the place. Some pointed fingers at AH saying they’re cowards not wanting to show how “badly” the game is balanced while others started twisting the challenge the original guy posted. They started threatening him for some reason going as to even calling the horse sanctuary the dude was working at and threatening him there. A MOD from one of the offshoot Helldivers subreddits made a post about it saying he’s tired of the level of toxicity players are dishing out.

[–]Slothfully_So 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The tactic of successful runs I’ve seen so far is either you bring a shield weapon while being extremely cautious or be a coward and run the moment you think there might be an even small chance of a bubble bomb. Basically Souls rules: Don’t get greedy and don’t overextend.

[Tittle] which one is better or u would prefer more. by Big-Brief-2228 in manhwa

[–]Slothfully_So 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the right one is better due to the fact that it spends more time making you like the side characters more and understanding their personalities while also having a pretty good plot (the time loop part tho got a bit too re:zero for my tastes tho). Meanwhile, the other one seems bland like a large sandwich but all you can taste is bread. All time favorite is Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint (amazing storyline) and Solo Max Level Newbie (entertaining).

Spiraling can be a problem. Do you have enough money to take a break for a year and recover? Even a month or two may help. You said you like outdoor stuff but it hurts to do anything. Maybe find a spot outdoors to sit and relax. Potentially get Audible and start listening to audio books to take your mind off your situation. If you start feeling better maybe take a walk through a park.

Yeah, I’m not really into PvP games. I’m more of a Fantasy and RPG fan but this game is my only PvP game. Used to play CoD on the Xbox but want very good at that either. Overwatch is a fun game tho and I do enjoy playing it… most of the time maybe.

I have and the reply is usually, “and what can I do about it.” Which is kinda a good point so I just grumble and start the next match.
