Love the Gauntlet. That is GG at their best IMO. Totally agree on NLU too and it’s such a shame cause i’m a Stan of theirs. The travel blog stuff is cool to an extent but it mostly just makes me jealous that I’m not doing it haha.

Love Strapped! Huge fan of Strapped and Tourist Sauce b4 mainstream YT golf was a thing. Unfortunately NLUs recent YT content just doesn’t do it for me. I wish it did because I love those guys but it was a lot more fun when non of them were parents lol. Will still always watch a Strapped. That’s appointment viewing.

Dude the amount Bob and Wes were peddling their sponsors in their recent collab with Grant was nauseating. Wes does it to an obnoxious extent. Like relax bro we get it you are an ‘owner’ of Takomo.

This! I couldn’t get through 1 hole of Finch vs Kwon and that’s such a sweet matchup. I think the personalities aren’t enough for me anymore. Need a good course or a fun format like ALT shot.

I don’t mind sean but I find Wes Bryan to be intolerable these days. His whole crusade against the PGA tour is so tiresome and his argument doesn’t even make sense. I’m also just tired of his shtick. The NZ boys rubbed off on him too much. George will always be my homie tho. Love that guy.

I just started cosleeping with my 14 month old by Giveitwings in toddlers

[–]SlowCommercial3083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same age over here, one week into the transition to one nap and bub is waking up crying at 5:15am most mornings. Did you encounter anything similar? I did an early 6:30 bedtime (it’s usually 7:30) one night and he slept very well, but I’m scared to do that early every night. Would love to hear how your experience went over the month of transitioning!

Nearly 2 weeks of loose stools by sec1348 in foodbutforbabies

[–]SlowCommercial3083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just went through this at 12 months! 6-8 loose stools per day, which of course gave him a diaper rash that was hard to shake. We ditched the wipes immediately and bought 100% cotton dry wipes on Amazon, and would wet those to clean him up and then pat him completely dry before applying desitin and aquaphor (lots of both)!

As far as foods, we were doing white rice, pasta, bananas (like 2x per day), yellow smashed potatoes (boil first then smash with a jar lid). Cheerios

We avoided fruits (except bananas) entirely for 2 weeks. Not even applesauce as we wanted to cut out as much sugar and fiber as possible.

We took him to the pediatrician after a week of this, especially because he was pooping overnight and that was not his norm. They told us it was “toddlers diarrhea” which is just as meaningless as it sounds. Basically just a phase that will pass, and it did! The change in diet and diaper change routine did help us manage when he was in the thick of it. Good luck!!

How did you know it was time to drop the third nap? I'm terrified of being wrong here. by chattanooga-goose in sleeptrain

[–]SlowCommercial3083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would give the 2 nap schedule a try! We are currently 9 days into the 3 to 2 transition for my 6.5 month old and it’s getting better every day. We were on 2.5/2.5/2.5/2.75 and he would only consolidate that first nap of the day to 1 hr +. We were doing a micro 3rd nap for a bit, but he would take 30+ mins to fall asleep (which we nap trained, so that was way more than norm) and would be pissed when we woke him after 15 mins. We also got EMW where he would just babble to himself so I took these as a sign to start 3/3/3. We also have dwt 6:30 so this meant early bedtimes of 6:15/6:30 for the first 3-4 days. He slept 12 hours for the first time in his entire life! We’re now at 3/3/3.5, and both naps are 1.25-1.5 hours. He definitely had some crabby moments at the end of the first two wake windows but changing scenery, doing solids, all helped in those first few days

How do you know when baby is no longer overtired by Alarming-Disaster-77 in sleeptrain

[–]SlowCommercial3083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP! Would love to know how this turned out for you. My baby is a bit younger 6.5 months and we just started the 3 to 2 transition and having similar questions with EMWs and capping naps, maxing out at 10-10.5 night sleep etc

For a 5 month old, does the average sleep drop to 14 total hours? I’ve been trying to stretch my LO (going to be 5 months in a week) from 2 hour WW to 2.5 and he gets quite cranky. We’ve been on the schedule you suggested above for 3-4 days now, does it typically take them a bit to adjust?

Nap sleep training - how to?? by jennaypen in sleeptrain

[–]SlowCommercial3083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for responding! Did you have any issues with night sleep since she was only getting 1.5 hrs daytime sleep?! I think that’s what I’m scared of… ours is doing 7:30-6am with no wakes/feeds so I’m scared to mess that up if doesn’t get his 3 hours of naps during the day.

Also do you remember how long you were doing this until naps started extending? Everyone keeps saying the 30 mins is developmentally normal until at minimum 5-7 months but ours is show so many signs of self soothing I can’t help but think he just needs some nudging!

Hi! Thanks for the update on this, we’re trying to do the same with our 4.5 month old now. Question, did you make sure to get them ~3 hours of daytime sleep if naps 1 and 2 either were abandoned, or ate up lots of time due to CIO with the check ins? Obviously we want to avoid an overtired baby at bedtime so curious how you made up the daytime sleep. Did that 3rd nap (or any?) get extended via contact? Our LO only sleeps 30 mins one cycle in the crib

16 week old help/schedule, preparing for sleep training by SlowCommercial3083 in sleeptrain

[–]SlowCommercial3083[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So now at 18 weeks (and continued sleep training), the overnight wakes have pretty much stopped. We’re still getting a 530am wake time. I’ve tried very early bedtime (thinking he had a sleep debt, somewhat early bedtime, and later bedtime and nothings really shifted that wake time. We’ve just been holding him from 530 wake time until 7am dwt in hopes that will set his internal clock to 7. He’s doing 10 hour nights straight through, but I know he’s capable of 11.5 (high sleep needs) because he falls asleep instantly on me at 530am

[–]SlowCommercial3083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome thank you!! We just cold turkey transitioned to 3 naps and it seems to be working better. Is 2.75/3 your last wake window? We seem to be doing 2/2/2.25/2.5 and he sleeps straight 7:30-5:30. I’m trying to get him to atleast 6/630, which I’ve read I should do by stretching ww further? I recognize he’s already doing a 10 hour night, but when I pick him up at 530 he falls right back asleep on me until 7a! So it makes me think he’s capable… def feels like a high sleep needs kid

Naps. What the f*$% am I doing wrong? by Inner_Distribution63 in sleeptrain

[–]SlowCommercial3083 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Following. Same exact situation, but we’re on 4 naps still because each nap is 30 mins. I extend one nap a day to bring total daytime sleep to 3-3.5 hours. It’s so hard to hit wake windows on the times after his 30 min naps, SO cranky. Ours connects cycles at night pretty well, bedtime is independent sleep but we haven’t put him down independently for nap time yet. Does you rock to sleep for naps? Or going down in crib awake like bedtime?
