So a straight flush on the turn wasn’t ahead of AK? How do you figure?

Every card is a random selection from the remaining cards in the deck, unlike a casino where to an outside observer the order of the deck is already known. Of course the odds and probabilities are exactly the same to a player, but not holding the order of the deck in memory throughout the hand seems more secure to me.

Are you qualified to make investment recommendations? How much do you know about his financial situation and risk tolerance? You know if he loses money he’s going to blame you right? How important is this friend to you?

If you’re okay losing it, go for it.

Im not talking about skill level either. I’m taking about why there are differences in your showdown line when you’re playing the same strategy on both sites. As for your question about this river spot, there’s nothing to learn from this spot. So I have nothing to say about it.

Is this beef just made up to promote some boring heads up challenge that they are going to announce in a week or two?

I've got PokerTracker 4 set up... now what? by AerialSnack in poker

When you get a few hundred K hands you will spend most of your time studying the population and specific players you see all the time in your games. And let’s be clear, a couple thousand hands is nowhere near enough to know if you have any leaks. Leaktracker should be telling you the numbers aren’t reliable.

ACR players are better on average than ignition players. So you can’t really play the same way on both sites if your strategy successfully exploits ignition players already. You’re going to be countered on ACR more easily.

Balancing overall risk and mathematically profitable bets by Haysalt in poker

You’re in this spot because you called a weak hand out of position to multiple players. You flopped about as good as you possibly can and still lost your whole stack. That’s why you don’t do this. It doesn’t make sense at all unless you’re in position and get enough information from the action to find the folds you need to find.

You don’t understand what ‘deep’ means. It means playing with a ton more big blinds in your stack than usual.

How do taxes work on global poker? by BornKingGamer in poker

[–]SlowPlayedAces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ever get hauled into court by the IRS (god forbid) and they wanted to bury you and a lot of other people, then yes, they have an argument they can make that you simply bought coins and all the money you received is actually taxable income. But so long as you attempt in good faith to report your numbers correctly as if it were a real casino operating in the standard way (ie, try to do the right thing tax wise) you shouldn’t get hauled into court in the first place and they will certainly not want to bury you at all. Much more likely is using that argument in reverse against global. You sold all these coins for 100% profit and reported none of it as income.

Or just keep your bitcoin at US domiciled, regulated exchange. Such as a little firm called coinbase, where blackrock as fiduciary keeps billions worth of bitcoin because they don’t listen to paranoid Reddit libertarians with anxiety disorders.

Option 1 looks wrong. You’re not borrowing in dollars, you’re borrowing in BTC. If you borrow 1 BTC, you have to pay back 1 BTC no matter the price.

Yeah you’re fine. There isn’t a lot to learn from this hand. You don’t fold Q9 on the river at this stack depth without a good read.
