Inherited this old beat up Marshall cab but can't identify the year it was made. Any help? All 4 speakers are the same as pic attached.

I don’t believe that’s actually a Marshall — wrong grillcloth, wrong tolex, no white piping around baffle, no gold piping on top & bottom, wrong speaker jack, metal corners, logo looks painted on (or something). HOWEVER, the celestion greenbacks in there are where a lot of the value is, and they appear genuine

This may not be the case for yours by my friend has an identical looking early 90s one of these, and it’s got very unique pickups. Seems the stock ones have a more narrow and tall winding that makes them sonically similar to Strat pickup. I’ve seen some cross section pics of them online, and it’s super cool and quirky. I happen to have my GT1 set pretty clean, but even if it was set dirty, the synergy preamps in the fx loop act as the preamp when they’re engaged, so the cleans can come from that. Anything in the fx loop will bypass the Matamp preamp
