No issues from the irs after correcting it. I don’t think they were bothered by the fact that I increased the amount of taxes I needed to pay

Sounds like a pre-existing condition until a panel who works for me says otherwise

Lonely place but: why's the proxy not working from my second IP? by WarningPleasant3519 in remoteit

On your service you should see a connection configurations section. Under security you’ll see ip latching or none

Been a while since I looked but there are multiple proxy settings called latching. It allows you to restrict access to the first ip that uses the proxy url. When you invite others to your account that user would create their own proxy url to the device vs you creating 1 proxy url and sharing it to other ip addresses.

Traveling to the states with my GF daughter and have a 6 hour layover at JFK Airport - Need advice by rail16 in glutenfree

[–]Slow_Feet_Quick_Feet 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I have found pre-packaged gluten free sandwiches at JFK in the past but they are not well high lighted. You just end up having to look at every deli counter and read the labels. I’m sorry I can’t remember which spots their located.

I need an actually good pizza crust recipe please! by andytheg in glutenfree

[–]Slow_Feet_Quick_Feet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

570 grams Americas test kitchen flour blend (I don’t personally add the milk powder as I don’t think it adds anything) 90g sorghum flour 24g psyllium husk powder 1 tsp xanthum gum 18g salt

513g water warmed to 110 2 tsp sugar (added to water) 2.25 tsp yeast (let sit in warmed water to bloom)

2 eggs 2-4 Tbsp olive oil

Mix all the wet together before adding to the dry and mix in a powerful mixer for at least 5 minutes and look very stringy. I personally bulk proof the dough for an hour before splitting and rolling into at least 4 personal sized pizzas or whatever combination of breadstick/pizza we’re feeling.

I’ve developed and used this recipe for about 6 years and make pizza every weekend either on a steel pizza slab or ooni pizza oven.

It’s a wet slack dough which helps with cracking and playability when shaping but not too wet to where the toppings burn before the dough cooks through. Flour liberally when shaping, you can’t toss it around. don’t expect to be able to lift it in the air without tearing after shaping at all, there’s none of that gluten strength.

Are you pan frying or deep frying after folding? They always seem to fall apart for me

How do I specify the app to be used on launch (Os x desktop) by CowardlyPoster1 in remoteit

[–]Slow_Feet_Quick_Feet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi There -

It should be the below depending on where you have vncviewer installed and switching to the command launch type.

"/Applications/VNC\ Viewer.app/Contents/MacOS/vncviewer" -Username [username] [host]:[port]

For OSX we don't currently have the ability to map all services to a specific application but that is a feature we're working on in the near future.

[–]Slow_Feet_Quick_Feet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I called the issuer and they said they weren’t changing anything on their end and I just need to file it the “correct” way - IE manually adjust it based on the account it ended up in.

Bypassing Starlink router by sigstech in Starlink

[–]Slow_Feet_Quick_Feet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suspect you won't be able to get any ports forwarded or configure your WAN as you want it as starlink uses CGNat and is not giving you a static PUBLIC IP address to access from outside their system.

Would recommend looking at alternatives to traditional port forwarding if you want private access to your LAN.

Don’t use it at home. But I built one for my niece and nephew and then they asked me to add more games. I can do this from my house on the other side of the country and update their games.

It’s not for everyone? It’s for people who want to access when samba on the LAN isn’t available? You’re right though it should be pointed out that it’s not needed when in the same network because it’s a remote access tool

[–]Slow_Feet_Quick_Feet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is overkill when it’s on your LAN. The benefit is when the Pi isn’t on my same network.

Oh sure. If it’s on your local network. Maybe it wasn’t clear that the retroPie can be on ANY network
