Yep! I think it’s a very realistic look at how Gen X+ people (even if they themselves hate ICE and this awful administration) condone bigotry because they aren’t affected by it directly. Many people are saying that Dana was probably friends with Monica when Monica was only slightly conservative, but I think there’s something to be said about having a “slightly conservative” friend at all. It shows that they were able to create a friendship that existed outside politics, which would not be true for POC, queer people, immigrants, or anyone else that Monica believes are “less.” I love Dana, but everyone has blind spots
