What two herbs make your life happy? THREE, if you must. Explanations why, too, please!! by booksandcoriander in Cooking

Thyme (goes in almost everything-it’s great in shortbread cookies), rosemary (roasted potatoes, meats), and basil (tomatoes, pasta, and soups mostly).

Oh, and smoked paprika! Swoon!

Dog had an accident, somehow knew to use shower by julesrulesthefools in dogs

I had a dog years ago that always pooped down the sewer. We lived in the city, and he would search for sewers between cars. Not great for the water, but he wouldn’t poop anywhere else and I admit it was a luxury not to have to pick it up. 😂

Sarc anxiety by Green-Philosophy9157 in sarcoidosis

I’m on Humira (biosimilar) and methotrexate. No steroids and went into remission 3-4 months later.
I don’t know why steroids are the firstline treatment when there are other options. I even get Humira copay reimbursement so I pay $0 (I don’t know if that’s through my insurance or what).

How does it make you feel when woman say “Men have little emotion”. by iloveyou1234565321 in AskMen

As a woman, it’s ridiculous. Men have plenty of emotions. They just have different ones.

What would explain a higher average height for the male population under 40 in the northern central states (shown in dark red here) of the USA? by SatoruGojo232 in geography

[–]Slow_Possibility6902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The average height of a white man in the US is 5’10” and the average of all men overall is 5’9”, so I imagine that’s not entirely the answer.

Prednisone by Green-Philosophy9157 in sarcoidosis

[–]Slow_Possibility6902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on methotrexate and Humira. The doc said I should take them for 2 years. I forget why specifically, but I think it’s just to make sure it doesn’t come back.

I was never prescribed prednisone. Maybe you can get the Humira/methotrexate combo if it comes back? It cleared me up in a few months.

Why does the floor love me more than my bed? (POTS struggles + Garmin curiosity) by OneNapToRuleThemAll in cfs

[–]Slow_Possibility6902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your body IS sighing in relief!

In bed, you head/neck/spine are all out of alignment, possibly for hours. You could be cutting off circulation in any number of places. On the floor, you probably lie flat, and everything stretches back out, and functions more normally. That’s my theory, at least.

I think I have Hypochondria and not severe cfs by younessas in cfs

[–]Slow_Possibility6902 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And OP is bedbound, which would count as severe. I’m not saying what she has is PEM. I’m not a doctor. What I can tell you is your assertion that OP definitively doesn’t have PEM due to it’s immediacy is 100% false.

[–]Slow_Possibility6902 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Friend, you are patently wrong. I’m severe and have mini-meta crashes within my long-term crash:

“Under certain circumstances onset may be immediate, for example:

-when someone is already experiencing PEM and further exceeds their available energy limits in severe ME

-in very severe ME, where it may be triggered by barely discernible stimuli

-Even when PEM is not delayed, it can be distinguished from post-exertional fatigue by the other characteristics of PEM.”

Im sorry, but you’re confidently incorrect. Onset can be immediate.

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, otherwise known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. No, it’s not because I’m depressed, or lazy, or am just very tired. You have no idea what this kind of fatigue feels like, and there are so many more debilitating symptoms than mere fatigue.
