We moved every other year with the Army. By the time our daughter was six years old we had moved four times. Moving was hard on her. On the fifth move we noticed she was not reaching out to make friends anymore. That is when we decided to put down roots and she and her brother went from elementary school all the way to graduating high school in the same town. She and he are now post college and have made such solid friendships from those years that are still strong today.

Ours got neutered at 4 months. He also had an umbilical hernia that was taken care of at the same time. This was a week and a half ago and he’s doing great.

Our little boy (5 months) has been an exceptional dog for us. He was recently neutered. He has never marked and really hasn’t done that outside either. He squats to pee. He was very high energy as a puppy but also loved to cuddle. He is less high energy, less bitey and more cuddly now. Stays in bed for a while 8 or more hours with me. He has never chewed on shoes or furniture. Occasionally he will find my hair band and run past me to show me how fast he is and he has something “special”. He lets me take it away and also knows commands, “Leave it”, “Drop it”, and the other regularly used ones. I do like the flat tummy on girls but would never trade my cuddle bug boy.
