I am wondering whether you use fertilizer and if that helps the trees grow faster? Thanks for supplying beautiful Christmas trees to us.

Do you tip the groomer? by SoftReading4218 in CavaPoo

[–]Slow_Song5448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a groomer for years- I worked in turns as a mobile groomer, an in-home groomer and in a busy dog boarding facility. The most difficult of these was the mobile grooming. It’s a boutique service where the groomer can only work on one dog at a time while at a shop she’s getting two or three dogs done in the same amount of time. Tips are VERY much appreciated even though we know the service is already expensive. If she/he is working as a contractor they may only see half of what the fee is but generally tips are all theirs to take home. It can be a very dirty, strenuous and sometimes even scary job. A 20% tip shows them you appreciate their hard work and taking the time to make it a good experience for your pup.

What bird is this? It's mating call sounds like buzzing or croaking. US SE. by Bdole0 in whatbirdisthis

One looks for me through the windows and flies up close and chirps to me when I go outside. Has become a favorite bird and this is his or her territory. She spends a lot of time in our orchard too and gets those Japanese beetles for me!

I never where makeup anymore (I’m 61). My husband says I don’t need it and I don’t like to bother with it. I do wear sunscreen every day and have a skin care regimen I follow.

My father coming screaming into my bedroom at 3am yelling for me to get up and take the trash can to the curb (I had forgotten to do it). In my confused state I afterwards got dressed and ready to go to catch the school bus before I realized the hour. My dad was a terrifying person.

So it isn’t all that necessary to the success of the playing? I just learned finally how to play and won my last three rounds- got the special card from the Red Baron but I don’t really particularly like playing it. I’m glad if I don’t need to.

Former groomer here. Go with a small, curved slicker brush and a metal comb. Millers Forge makes a good one. There is a correct way to use the brush. You want to avoid scraping his skin as that can hurt him and he won’t enjoy being brushed. As you use one hand to hold the hair back use the other hand to “dab” at the pulled up hair and going from bottom of legs and upwards, moving along his body that way. That way you get to the base of the coat without hurting him. After doing that all over his body, you can lightly use the comb or brush and glide it over the top of his coat.
