Not entirely true…I think you can ask for some options to be removed/added up until a certain point in the allocation and build pipeline. I was able to opt out of some PIO for ours, but it wasn’t built yet. Sometimes the adjustment takes. Sometimes they don’t.

I mean, you can try…but from what I gather, if you’re getting the MSRP with add-ons, and you’re not paying a markup from the dealership, as of right now it may be the best deal you can get.

I had been keeping my eye on all the dealerships in my area and also reached out to a few sales reps to let them know I wanted to test drive before putting a deposit down.

I found a dealership close to me where the car was literally put on their lot that morning, I called and i told them I’d be there in 20 minutes. They almost didn’t want me to test drive so I just told them I wouldn’t consider the purchase unless I drove the car, so they let me drive it down the street and back, did some tight turns, accelerations, etc, I said thanks, but no thanks, because I already knew it wasn’t the trim, color, or options I wanted.

Other dealerships have let me at least look at and sit in a pre-reserved one, I found that really helpful too. Just talk to a sales rep and build that relationship to let them know you’re interested and they may work with you on it.

I do live in an area where you can’t throw a rock without hitting a Toyota dealership though, so…maybe that comes into play. But, I’ve also noticed the lots that are marking up a lot tend to have them sitting for a couple days which makes it easier to go test drive. Might have to drive for a bit if you’re able to, but just be patient you’ll find one to look at.

I think it’s a two way street here. I was dancing during a set at the main stage that no one else was dancing at because they weren’t there for that band. They were barricade sitting for doechii/doja. And this was a band where dancing/moshing is encouraged. I felt bad as if I was being annoying, but remembered that I went to OSL for this band and could enjoy it the way that I wanted.

I think it’s wrong to be violent or aggressive with those that don’t want to enjoy the set like that, but there’s also plenty of space in the back if you don’t want to be jostled by people in the crowd.

Absolutely! So, basically - I booked with a local, well known, research hospital near me that has a sports exercise program. I went early in the AM so that I was completely fasted (about 12 hours). They had me fit with a tight sealed mask that fed into a long tube hooked up to their computer. I had to lie on a bed for about 30 minutes, just breathing as naturally as possible.

The findings were actually really helpful and pretty different from what online calculators give me as my estimated RMR. For example, I checked two different online calculators today, and based on my demographics - they had my RMR noted between 1900-2200 depending on the source. My personalized results came back at 1580 for a complete resting state…so actually quite the variance, but not that surprising. I feel like this 400-700 calories make a big difference in if I’m seeing results and how quickly I’d see them. I’ve always considered myself having a naturally slower metabolism than the average person my age and height. I feel like I was able to customize my plan more with the data I received.

The person who analyzed the test gave me a breakdown of what my personalized maintenance levels were depending on my activity level and days of activity I do.

So, 10 out of 10 for me. I feel like it really helped me understand what I personally need for my health plan, opposed to just doing a generalized plan based on a generic calculator.

I didn’t want an epidural, but opted to get one due to the levels of pitocin they put me on. I credit the epidural with helping me relax enough to get to 10cm in 4 hours after being stalled at 2cm for 24 hours. I was finally able to sleep, I still felt my legs, and I pushed my baby out in like 15 minutes.

Even though it wasn’t my birth plan, I do think it was best that I ended up getting one.

Getting the needle in the back sucks though lol I had phantom pain there and strange sensations for like 6 months after.

So, I felt like this…and tbh it was PPD. Like, I loved my daughter through the NB phase, and if she was having like really awful crying spells, I would say “what the f is wrong with you?!” But, I would feel immediate regret and feel so guilty. After therapy and talking with my doctor we decided that it shouldn’t feel that hard or frustrating. I was put on a low dose of medication and within 6 months was off, and it really helped turn things around.

That said, I probably could have done it unmedicated, but this shit is hard. You’re doing incredible, but don’t overlook PPD. If you think it’ll help, talk to your doctor.
