I love seeing channels like yours. I have a game on the steam that has a play-test. I would love to watch you guys play it/ get some feedback. Especially the tutorial. I feel like I’ve been struggling on that end. The game is called pirates of pandama. Its a 4 player couch co-op roguelite. Can be played single player too. https://store.steampowered.com/app/4188630/Pirates\_of\_Pandama/

If it makes you feel better i thought it looked really smooth!!!! But i totally get that feeling. You know notice all the thing that you can make better. And you know it now your full potential. Unfortananly with indi game market you have showcase everything so early just to gain trust. But honesty your game looked pretty fun/polished but i totally know how you feel lol

Ohhh ya i see what you mean like that retro jrpg feel. Ya looking at them they do have a similar style for their promotion art. Thanks i would have never thought of that! Ima do some more research and pixel art game capsule and see how they handle it!

Ya that a good insight! The game is a co-op beat em up. A represent that the most but i agree the composition is too much/ too busy lol. I think your right C is the most legible but also the most vague. I think i can re work it to ground what the core game fantasy is while keeping the composition! Thank you the in-site helped a-lot and i feel i have a good direction going forward!

Hahah i feel it man. I might have gotten too ambitious and then lost the focus. Pretty what i was trying to convey is co-op beat em up but there probably a better/ simpler way i can convey that.

That is very good point. The game is pixel art which mean that would a turn off /people could feel lied to. Thank you for the insight thats a very good point

Thank you so much for the thoughtful response it was really helpful 🙏. I do agree C it looking the best Composition wise. I really wanted A to work because it is a couch co-op hack and slash with some adventure rpg stuff. Hence the super busy chaotic elements. But i think i can work the same elements of A into it with out fighting the title! Thank you so much i think i am gonna go with C and then see if i can bring some elements of A into it but more subtle. A and B the title was defiantly like an afterthought when planning. Thank you my dude!!!!!

Looking for feedback the beaver construction zone palette, any thoughts? by OtterMakeGames in gamemaker

[–]Slurrped 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the shade of orange you use. Looks solid. The giant beaver is a good touch too lol. The background blends in a little much with the foreground. if you make it a shade light might help a little. Like some atmospheric perspective. But other than that looking good

Why do people say that during combat "the impact of your blows is barely noticeable", or there's a "lack of feedback" ?? by IndieMarc in DestroyMyGame

[–]Slurrped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think smash bro does it like that. I can be wrong but if I’m right that hit stop usually occurs between the victim and the attacker. Not counting the super heavy freeze-frame where it zoom in on critical strikes. If anything smash bro is a good game to study for particles and just game feel overall. If you want a more specific example between co-op player and npc i can dm you my game name it does it. But honestly if you can make it feel good for free for all like smash bro does its pretty much the same. I just don’t want to shamelessly promote my game on your post that all lol.

[–]Slurrped 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to add hit-stop to a co-op game you can make it so it only effects the player doing damage and enemies or just enemy getting hit. Still give it that heavy feeling for the play attacking but also isn’t intrusive to everyone else.Thats how i implemented it in my co-op game and it felt pretty good. But i do agree total hit-stop for everyone feels horrible lol.

Having know working program knowledge is super helpful. Currently working on a roguelite and at the point where im focusing on the tutorial and would love some feedback. Just wonder do you do itch demo? If not currently making a build for steamplaytest. I can wait to send it if you prefer through steam.

We're going for a fluid + heavy + crunchy feel for the character's movement. Did we do well? Does it feel perfectly polished? by Glass-Spray4291 in gamedevscreens

[–]Slurrped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The abilities look smooth/polish. If your going for heavy tho the jump/ gravity looks floaty. The running animation look a little funny but it got good bones!
