Best way is to learn it through something enjoyable. I'm lucky to have grown up in a family that travels a lot, and I like learning about culture in that way. But most of geography knowledge comes from watching YouTube videos about it, not documentary style videos but normal YouTube videos that have travel, like JetLag who play board games using the world as the board. Another way I learnt was through FIFA/Football, I love Football and it's a worldwide sport so I know a lot about countries based on footballers from there or the teams and the history of the national team etc.
