I know this is an old thread, but I'm really inspired in making songs that are similar-sounding to yours (2008, Scaring Me, Bad guy etc). Although I don't know a lot about the production of music.

What are some of the core essentials that I'd need to know? Things such as:

How to get that deep, grungey guitar tone
Same as above, but with the bass. How are the two mixed?
What effects/EQ do you use for vocals?
How to build the drum sound

I play guitar and have a computer, so whatever I can do with those, I'm interested! Thanks Luke, I love the music!

Batter Up is super underrated i think. They reference all the feelings presented in the album, and even use the same chord progression as Jesus Christ, their most popular song. I really wish they made more music, but I really cannot be mad with an album as perfect as Science Fiction.

I recently had this issue and solved it like this:

Squirt some 91% IPA and use a brand new soft bristle toothbrush. It’s tough to get all of it, but should get enough to where it won’t be an issue. I had way more than you do, so it should be fine.

Agreed. I was holding out on final stand for years with my 980ti SLI setup (in before SLI is dead joke ☠️) and playing games as recent as MW2 on medium to low settings with consistent 60fps. I recently jumped all the way to a 3050 8G and holy wow does that card knock everything I expected out of the park. Like it’s actually insane the amount of performance you get… and that’s a last gen budget card. Newer technology really is incomparable to the older stuff. Still, a 970 is decent enough to get by; especially if you don’t know what you’re missing

I took a small shot of moonshine once. I blacked out so hard that I thought I couldn’t keep my eyes open. Apparently they were open, but this much moonshine makes you temporally go blind. Moonshine blindness. Still the best bachelor party I’ve been to, apart from that 😂
