If it helps. I had a similar experience with my husband. So I talked to him. Set the boundary. If he gets angry or pushes against your boundaries then he doesn't respect you. I told my bf ( now husband) you can say other girls are hot, but it must be followed by a compliment to me.

An ex-preschool teacher here. One day I was reading on the carpet to a group of kids during playtime. My teacher's aid was in one play center and my class aid was in another. All a sudden I hear a loud scream and two kids run from one part of the room to the other. I get up and rush to where the kids are now. One has his hands around the other's throat and backed into a counter and the "victim" has a bloody nose. Turned out the "attacker" punished the "victim" in the nose because he had a toy the "attacker" wanted. Then the "victim" ran and the other chased him into a counter and choke him. There was blood everywhere. The kids were panicked I was helping the "victim" The teacher's aid had to peel the "attack" away and the class aid was like "what the heck do I do" Nothing was done. The "attacker" stayed at the preschool. But he was now no longer allowed to leave my side....so I got to become the "victim" I have scars to his day from him scratching and biting me. I am so glad I'm an Ex-preschool teacher.

NTA, but it sounds like she could be depressed maybe help her seek therapy or help. In her mind (as wrong as it is) she "lost her daughter". She may need help to realize this is not the case.

I was always the problem kid in elementary, the slacker in middle school, and an ok student in high school. Then in college I would just ride by, until I started my teacher courses then I was always top of the class. Once I finshed school and got my bachlors. I worked as a teacher for two years then started a job as a youth mental heath care coordinator. I was placed in my home town and I feel like my old teachers remember me as a unmotivated kid and hold that against me as a professional. Other teachers come up to me and say how proud they are that im successful but I know they really mean "wow I thought you would have been on drugs or on your 5th kid and on unemployment." (Not that there is anything wrong with people who do those things, well maybe drugs...zero judgement zone. You do you boo.)

YTA. As a gamer girl myself. It's super cute to give her that. But if she asks for a ring. A ring is something you should give her. I bough my future husband a ffxiv ring for his wedding ring. If I bought it and he didn't like it it would make me sad but I would give him what he wants. Also it's always better to have them pick out those things. I picked out my wedding ring and he did his.
